Don't know if I've encountered a pizza without cheese, but a I don't think
"quattro formaggi" has any tomato sauce on it. Not that one should expect
Australians or Americans to really know anything about pizza...

Also in the Italian Alps, 'Pizza Tartiflette' is quite common and that
definitely has no tomato.

"White pizza" is not uncommon -- it has a creamy garlic sauce instead
of a tomato sauce. The local pizzeria serves a very ice all-veggie
pizza with your choice of white or red sauce.

very true! I like white pizza, although as stated (after rereading it a few dozen times) the 'topping' on a white pizza would be something like broccoli or spinach.

still you bring up an interesting style choice: very ice all veggie pizza. I'd be willing to bet that most people have had cold pizza the next morning, but intentionally icing it before consumption sounds like something everyone should try once before deciding it isn't for them.
