Fellow Methuselah,
this message is an update (as of october 24th) about the pre-registered
players to the Legendary Vampire and the last reminder of the registration
process.
-The Legendary Vampire (LV) tournament will have exactly 25 players (no
more, no less). The players who want to attend the LV *must* pre-register
(even if they filled the form on the EC site http://ec2010vtes.com and
independently of their ranking) by e-mail, *before Wednesday, October 27th
at 1:00 PM*. To do that, simply send an e-mail to legendar...@yahoo.fr
(legendary dot vampire at yahoo dot fr) and include the following
information :

-VEKN number
-something short like "I'd like to attend the LV"
-tell me if you will be present at the welcome party between 6:30 PM and
7:30PM for the registration to LV

-During the Welcome Party (WP) at the R.I.P (venue of EC tournaments and
hotel for many players), on Thursday, October 28th, between 6:30PM and
7:30PM, the 25 pre-registered players will register (or will be registered
on my behalf if they told me they won't be able to attend the WP, or if they
might not make it in time). They will be given a card serving as a ticket
for the LV. The people who will be #26 and #27 will also be given a ticket,
which will only be used as a last resort - those people will attend the LCQ
if nothing goes wrong from the LV-point of view.
-The next day, on Friday, October 29th, the registered players will give
their tickets to Antonio Cobo Cuenca, who will be the official organizer and
Head Judge of the LV, using the same schedule as all tournements schedule
for the week-end (i.e. registration for table seating between 8:45 and 9:45
AM - see http://ec2010vtes.com for details). If all goes well, the 25
players who registered the day before will simply play the LV. If something
goes wrong (one of the 25 top dogs didn't wake up on time, is unable to play
due to excess alcohol or any leisurely activity from the night before,
whatever), then the player #26 will be called to replace whoever is missing,
same for #27.

Below is the current waiting list, consisting of players who are not in the
top 25 of the pre-registered
players to EC, but who did properly write an e-mail to
legendar...@yahoo.fr and who will have priority in filling any
available slots (if one of the previous 25 players can't make it to the LV),
according to their ranking, during the registration process which will
happen during the Welcome Party (thursday 28th october, 6:30PM-7:30PM)

Fran�ois Greiner therefore is currently the first to get any back-up LV
slot.
Hugh Angseesing is currently the only player belonging to the top 25 of
pre-registered players to EC (barring other players who either couldn't or
wouldn't attend the LV) who is not pre-registered to LV.
I've also heard that Erik Tortensson might come to Paris for the EC and that
he's interested in the LV, but neither did he register on the EC site nor
did he pre-register for the LV. If anyone can reach him, please tell him to
pre-register before wednesday 1:00PM.
Please note that with the current list, for the time being Fran�ois Greiner,
John Best, David Tatu and Mathias Skubich do not get any LV slot; however,
in the event some of the 25 would-be players either somehow cannot come to
Paris at all, or don't show up during the LV itself (i.e. on Friday, october
29th), then Fran�ois Greiner would be the first to be called to replace the
first missing player, then John Best for the second missing player, etc. I
personnally doubt any of the 25 players wouldn't show up - maybe just one or
two who couldn't wake up or something, but no more - so those players should
consider odds are they will simply play in the LCQ. Still with that current
list, Fran�ois Greiner and John Best can attend the Welcome Party
pre-registration, so they will get back-up tickets #26 and #27 for the LV.
Please note, again, the e-mail pre-registration process will be closed on
Wednesday, October 27th at 1:00 PM. I will no longer check for new
pre-registration requests after that time, being simply too busy by other EC
issues related to organization. The LV announcement about the registration
process is up since september 19th

All it takes is 1 minute to pre-register, so if players didn't bother to
take 1 minute to do it, I won't take 1 second to hear any complaint after
Wednesday, October 27th, 1:00PM. I will simply use, during the welcome
party, the list of pre-registered players established on october 27th to
register everyone and fill any vacant slot.
