Faceless Night Question (bit of a corner case)

Minion A now plays Faceless Night at superior do both minion B and C tap?

If by "is blocked" you mean "is acting and another minion attempts to block",
then: Yes. Tapped.

The text you quote doesn't cover the same situation.

Situation 1:

Minion A: Declares Action
Minion B: Attempts Block
Minion A: Plays Faceless Night at OBF
Minion B: Plays Spirit's Touch at aus
Minion A: Plays Elder Impersonation at OBF, block fails per card text.

Faceless night is, at the moment the block fails, modifying the
action, so the blocker is tapped. This situation is pretty cut and
dried, and is the order of play in the text you quote.

This question changes order of play:
Minion A: Declares Action
Minion B: Attempts Block
Minion A: Plays Elder Impersonation at OBF, block fails per card text
Minion C: Attempts block
Minion A: Plays Faceless Night at OBF. Minion C cannot generate
intercept - block fails.

Minion C is tapped, that's a no-brainer. What about minion B? The
block had already failed before Faceless Night was played -- he was no
longer part of the blocking process. Is he affected by future action
modifiers? Do action modifiers that affect blocking minions have a
retroactive effect? The situation is not nearly as cut and dried.

My instinct tells me no, Minion B is not tapped - he's out of the
equation by the time the card is played. Of course, my instinct is
often wrong, but still, the fact that he opted out BEFORE the card was
played indicates that he shouldn't be tapped.

Correct. The minion currently attempting to block when Faceless Night
is played and all minions attempting to block after it has been played
are tapped by it (if played at superior, of course). The minions
who had attempted to block before (and whose attempts are not "active"
when) FN is played are not affected.
