Gehenna is closing in, Powerful Vampires once content to sit in the
background and let the younger neonates do their bidding are being
forced into action.
Centuries had past since Sheldon had had to make a personal visit to
the master but recent events had changed all that.
Passing the last of the of the heavily secured iron doors Sheldon
could not help but wonder why his last three envoy's had not returned.
Although they worked for Sheldon these missing kindred were no simple
neonates but powerful minions in their own right.
The smell of blood roused him from this thought just before he entered
the master's crypt. What? Is that vampire blood?
"I am displeased with your actions Lord Sheldon" a voice came echoing
off the stone entrance.
As Sheldon entered the crypt the fate of his kindred was now painfully
clear – they were in topor hanging from the wall on large iron spike
that had been rammed through their torsos.
"What has displeased you my master" Sheldon spoke with all the measure
of humility he could muster.
From the shadows the powerful voice resounded, "My displeasure with
the activities of the Kindred has grown with each passing century. The
bloodlines weaken and our brethren have failed the traditions too
often. It is now the time for more powerful beings to take a firmer
hand in the affairs of Vampiric society and to cleanse our ranks of
the weaker among us. My peers and I have chosen now as the time to
rise up and resume our rightful place..."
Special rules:
Methuselah must supply 2 libraries in addition to their crypt.
One library will be for minion cards and out of turn master cards
The other library will contain master cards (all non out-of-turn
masters must go into this deck)
Total library cards (minion plus master deck) must be within 60 to 90
cards as per tournament rules
During the master phase a Methuselah must play the top card of his
master library (if he still has a master phase available, ie he didn't
play an out of turn master card) and pay the cost, if any.
All conditions must be met as normal for the master card to come into
play ie clan restriction, if it cannot come into play it is burnt
If a Methuselah does not have a master card to play (ie his master
deck has been depleted) or cannot pay the cost of this master card
they must burn a minion or they are ousted from the game
If a Methuselah's master card is contesting another Methuselah's
master card already in play it is contest as per the normal contest
rules except that the cost to contest a master card is increased by 1
pool. If other effects require you to pay additional pool to contest,
you must do so as per effect then increase by 1.
Cards in the "Master Library" cannot be burnt or discarded by any card
effects, these master cards must be played by the Methuselah. Master
cards being played or in play can be effected as normal
Card or effects that give a Methuselah an additional master phase must
be used.
If you are to search you library for a card (due to card text or
special ability) you must search the appropriate library
For every minion below capacity 4 that a Methuselah controls, that
Methuselah will burn a master card from the top of his master card
library during his untap phase or burn a minion.
Your Master Library is only allowed a maximum of 4 copies of any card.
FAQ – can I have multiple copies of unique master cards in my master
library?
Yes – If you draw a copy of a unique master card that you already have
in play in incoming copy burns, as you cannot contest with yourself.
