I know this seems to be a little too much effort for the same gain,
but I have been toying with the idea of making better use of The
Grandest Trick.

Can a Kiasyd vampire (A) bleeding with The Grandest Trick benefit from
the effects of a Mouthpiece (at DOM) played by another vampire, thus
allowing A to play cards like Conditioning?

I am thinking "Yes", but am confused by the "cannot use Disciplines"
text on The Grandest Trick.

The Grandest Trick
Cardtype: Action Modifier
Clan: Kiasyd
Cost: 2 blood
Burn Option
Only usable when an action is announced.
Vampires cannot block this {minion}. This acting vampire is treated as
a mortal ally for the duration of the action (cannot spend or burn
blood, cannot use Disciplines, will burn if reduced to 0 life, etc.).
This vampire's blood represents his or her life while he or she is an
ally. Only usable on an action that doesn't cost blood or require a
vampire, clan or Discipline.

Mouthpiece
Cardtype: Action Modifier
Discipline: Dominate
[dom] +1 bleed. You cannot play another action modifier to increase
this bleed.
[DOM] Only usable by a ready vampire other than the acting minion. The
acting minion may play cards that require basic Dominate as a vampire
for the remainder of this action.

I think your right. Since the "cannot use disciplines" part is only an
example of how allies work.

I see LSJ has taken up providing feedback for both V:tES and English.
:-p
