Bloodstorm of Chorazin
Type: Reaction
Requires: Baali
Only usable when a Baali successfully blocks an ally or a younger
vampire.
Tap this Baali and end the action (with no combat). This Baali
inflicts 1 unpreventable damage on the acting minion and each of his
or her retainers. Burn option.

As we got here small argument about this card i want to clarify if it
really works how we thought.
If Baali A blocks the action and another Baali B can play Bloodstorm.
card text indicates that it's possible as there is no said> Only
usable when THIS Baali succesfully blocks...
question is if it will work this way:
Azaneal blocks and embrace (Baali of course) will play blood storm and
become tapped (per card text) and as the action is ended per card text
Azaneal do not tap. otherwise this deck will need small reconstruction
to increase untaps...

After a block the Blocking Minion always taps, even if the action
doesn't resolve, e.g. without combat.
Unless stated otherwise, of course.
Example: on blocker's side there's Obedience, o acting's side there's
Change of Target.

I'm fairly certain that the card doesn't do that. It is odd that
Bloodstorm simply reads "a Baali" when all the similar cards I looked
for (eg. Obedience, Voice of Madness, Shattered Mirror, Mental Maze)
read "this vampire". This does to some extent seem to suggest that
your interpretation works, and one could certainly parse the sentence
that way in standard English. Unfortunately, a lot of VTES cards have
confusing and/or inconsistent text, and this is simply an example of
that.

This is moot if the card can't be played in the manner you describe.
Even if you can, however, Azaneal taps, since that is an effect of
blocking successfully. "Tap this Baali" is simply reminder text; you
would have to tap even if the card didn't say so.

Well if Azneal blocks, he can satisfy the "Only usable when a Baali
successfully blocks and ally or a younger vampire."

The card doesn't specify that you need to tap the blocking Baali.

So I think unless the card is clarified, it works the way the deck
Author says.

It's played by the blocking Baali.
