Since there are no timing conflicts in Jyhad, I'd say that the Frenzy
comes up late. You aren't using any equipment after the Frenzy gets
played (the Vial is already burned). You're simply using an additional
strike that you happen to have (or using +1 hand damage that you happen
to have, or - probably - both!).
If Frenzy is played before you burn the vial, then you are prevented from
burning (using) the vial.
Just my guess. (I've been known to guess wrong on occassion.)

Frenzy just stops the vampire from using equipment later. It does not end
the effect of equipment that has already been used.
