Hi,

Vamp A bleeds and an Ally with 1 life tries to block. The Vampire
plays Crocodile's Tongue. What applies?

a) Crocodile's Tongue is cancelled. The block of the ally fails, but
another minion of that methuselah may now block the action
b) Crocodile's Tongue is cancelled and the action is considered
blocked if intercept is sufficient but no combat will take place

I would say a)

Thanks,

Bernd

Crocodile's Tongue
Type: Action Modifier
Requires: Auspex
[aus] Only usable when an ally or a younger vampire attempts to block.
That block is canceled (the minion is not tapped). The blocking
minion's controller cannot attempt to block this action again. The
blocking minion can cancel this card by burning a blood or life.
[AUS] As above, but canceling this card requires an additional blood
or life.

If Crocodile's Tongue is played at INFERIOR:
- Option 1: The blocking ally burns a life, burning itself.
Crocodile's Tongue is then canceled, and the other minions controlled
by the reacting Methuselah can now attempt to block.
- Option 2: The blocking ally does not burn a life. The block fails
and none of the minions of the reacting Methuselah can attempt to
block.

If Crocodile's Tongue is played at SUPERIOR:
- The blocking ally does not have enough life to burn to cancel the
card. The block fails and none of the minions of the reacting
Methuselah can attempt to block.

Assuming the Crocodile's Tongue was played at aus and the ally chose to burn a
life to cancel the effect of Crocodile's Tongue, yes.

The effect of Crocodile's tongue is canceled.
The ally dies (is burned), since he has no life.
The ally's block attempt ends (fails), since he is no longer eligible to block.
Another minion may attempt to block, since Crocodile's Tongue was canceled.
