Not sure it's worth putting 2 skill cards on him, because you still
need a way to fill him up every turn. The problem is more in the fact
that if Yavu goes down during another player's turn, he won't come
back out until the end of your next turn, making the +bleed somewhat
moot, and the +int only useful until he cancels an action. Also,

There's about a 41% chance that a box will contain neither a Cog nor a
Monastery...
Personally, I would not trade 2 Villeins for either of those cards
because I will soon, or at least eventually, have enough Cogs, I
probably already have enough Monasteries (is that really considered a
great card?), but unless it's in some starters it will be *years*

I always knew there would be some way to really take advantage of that
special. With 2 skill cards if Yavu is full before going to
uncontrolled he will still have 8 blood and be able to come back into
play without spending any pool. :)
I don't think I'll be able to resist making this deck.

As opposed to paying $50.00+ for two of them? Sure. That strikes me as
far more sane--buy a box of KoT. Swap some good rares for Villeins.

If a rules change would be futile it would be because the confusion/
benefit ratio is unfavorable, not because it wouldn't be fool proof.
Replacing a loophole with a smaller loophole is not useless.

So to get a "good" uncommon i must give a hard to find rare (enkil
cog) or a good rare (monastery of shadows) . Cog and Monastery are
RARE cards that every one are loocking for. In my opinion it's not a
fine trade. Are you sure you'll get cards like Enkil or Monastery in
a box? I'm not so sure.

I've read it. I always thought HF was pretty lame ever since LB
introduced it. If you want to make a toolboxy deck for a newbie,
you're better off picking a clan, get vamps with the best levels of
all 3 in-clan disciplines, then use the best cards from those 3
disciplines. I find that the ideal proportions are rarely anywhere

Every single deck I have made in 2009 has at least 6 Ashur Tablets in
it.
If my deck size is 60-66, I use 6 Tablets. If my deck size is 67-90, I
use 9 Tablets. In my experience, Sudden Reversal and Wash usually
thwart the first recursion of Tablets, rarely the second, so I never
use Nx3 + 1.

Happy Families is a tool that you can use as a guideline for building
nicely-flowing toolboxy decks.
It's pretty useful for new players who are just getting the hang of
deckbuilding.

I keep seeing people posting about tools supporting Happy Families.
Does anyone actually use this to construct a deck? I find that it
focuses on one detail so much (% of vampires with the disciplines ~=~
% of cards using that discipline), and ignores everything that's
actually relevant to deck-building. I've never once consulted HF when
