I would like to start off by thanking every one that showed up;
Thanks to the guys from Stockholm for attending,
Thanks to our to latest additions on the swedish tournament scene, the
Linköping people.
Thanks to the Gothenburg people that showed up – you really made a
diffrence specially when it comes to sheer numbers.
Thanks to the Finns that dared cross the Baltic Sea to humilate us.
Thanks to Norwegians for be you kind selfs.
Thanks to Hugh for daring to live in the midts of Swedes for the
second time this year.
Thanks to all Örebro players for assisting in making the first
Nationals happen

The two day event started off with the bigger event; the constructed
tournament. On friday night the head count were 42, but when all
registration were on saturday the head count were 44. A greater number
then GothCon, which traditionally is the biggest tournament i Sweden.

The tournament started off in decent time, I think the first round
started at 11:40. After lunch break that were to long we played the
remaining two round. I won't give detailed report on the preliminary
rounds, but after walking around talking to players, whatching games
and looking at the results I concluded that bleed was the primary
winner, bleed did not win the finals though. There were some
toolboxier decks getting some GWs as well.

Over all everybody seemed to be in a good mood and there weren't
really any issues during the day.

The final table looked like this:
Joni Huumonen (Potence rush) ->
Erik Torstensson (Animalism control deck /w Nana Buruku) ->
Erik Löf (Malgorzata crypt engine/bleed) ->
Alexander Båskman (Obfuscate Ventrues /w friends) ->
Adam Esbjörnsson (grp1-2 obf/aus princes Frist tradition/Parity shift)

The table started off with niether Erik L, Alex of Adam mangage to
draw any crypt acceleration. Joni rushing back wards on Adam and later
on Alex. Erik T were rushing forward on Erik L. Neither Erik nor Adam
plays with combat defence and dies horribly to there combat and
rushes.

Maybe half way in to the game, Alex manages to oust Adam, but by then
it's to late for both Erik L and Alex to have any shot at the GW. Joni
have 4 or maybe 5 minions by now and Him and Erik T have started to
get into combat.

Erik Manages to play Aid from bats allmost every combat and Joni
manages to play thrown sever lid or stunt cyckle as often. Joni have
more red cards over and Erik do end up having alot of minions in
torpor. Maybe after 1 hour 20 minutes Joni have torporized to whole
table and wins.

And once again congratualtions Joni, Swedens best player!

Wow! This is good to see, a different take on the rush deck, 10 Dolls lots
of long and short range pain, no frills... I bet that was a good final to
watch. Nice one on winning with rush Joni.

Congrats to Joni, who reclaimed Finnish honour (Adam from the Swedish
entourage won the Finnish ECQ just recently) and to the organizers for
the great attendance.

Especially great to see that Joni won with a Finnish politics -type of
deck!
Some people might remember the Finnish politics T-shirts (with
superior potence symbol) team Finland had in EC 2008.

Sorry about not being able to make it due to work :(
But there's always the next time...
