If Tariq, who has a Ghoul Retainer, strikes my vampire who has 2 blood
with the Ivory Bow, while the Ghoul Retainer strikes with the Rowan
Ring.

Assuming I strike for hands for 1 and don't prevent any damage, how
much blood am I going to torpor with?

Would this total change if an Amaranth is being played?

You are going to torpor and taking 1 aggravated damage, during the
same strike resolution phase.
So if you started with 2 blood, you'd be in torpor with 1 blood.

Why would it?

Correct. All effects are applied before moving to the "handle any
damage applied" sub-step.
So by the time you're handling the agg, you're already wounded by the
Ring. Meaning you have to burn 1 blood to prevent destruction.

"No" is correct.

That's what I thought

Emphasis in quoted text mine. GR may use the weapon before or after.
If I strike with the bow and THEN GR strikes with RR, should there not
be 2 blood? I choose the order do I not?

Name: Ghoul Retainer
Cardtype: Retainer
Cost: 2 pool
Ghoul with 2 life. 1 strength.
During the initial strike resolution each round, the Ghoul Retainer
inflicts 1 damage or may use a weapon not used by the employing minion
(or another retainer) that round *******(either before or
after)******. This is not a strike, although it does count as "using"
the weapon.

Rowan Ring wounds a vampire in strike resolution.
Ivory bow wounds a vampire in damage resolution.

No. The text is not "may use before or after".

The text you emphasize says that the weapon cannot be one that is used
by anyone else that round, even later that round.

The other text: "during strike resolution" says when the GR uses it.

Mis-understanding also yours.

No. Ghoul Retainer may use a weapon that has not been used by the
employing minion or another retainer before the Ghoul Retainer uses it,
or after the Ghoul Retainer uses it.

That is, if the employer (or another retainer) has used the weapon, this
Ghoul Retainer can't use it. If this Ghoul Retainer uses it, the
employer (or other retainers) can't use it later in this round.

Not.

No, this is purely saying that a Ghoul Retainer gets to use one weapon
that has not been used and will not be used by another later in the
round of combat.

Not if you want people to learn anything, it isn't. ;)
