Deck Name: Kiasyd Fastball
Created By: Ben Peal
Description:
Just wind up and throw the high cheese! Gremlins and Bonding for 3
bleed at 2 stealth. Nocturns to get in the way of rushers. Sudden
Reversals to shut down Villein and other shenanigans. It probably
wants a couple more On the Qui Vive (instead of a couple Wakes) and
Delaying Tactics (instead of a couple Deflections). Foreshadowing
Destruction should probably be another Song of Pan. Scourge of the
Enochians should probably go in there, and perhaps The Uncoiling.

Excellently done sir!

Now we just need the number of players at the event to be reported and
we'll have an archive-able submission.

According to the Bratislava VtES forum (http://vtesba.freeforums.org/
slovak-2010-ecq-qualifier-results-t306.html) 27 players attending the
ECQ.

So the total header for the TWDA would look like this:

Slovak ECQ
Bratislava, Slovakia (Slovak Republic)
August 28, 2010
3R + F

27 players
Ben Peal

Btw, was that the first win of an ECQ by a non-European player?

No, Jay Kristoff won the Last Chance Qualifier for the Budapest EC in 2005.

Be wary of the hostels and hot chicks. ;)

My wife has been obsessed with Eli Roth (again) recently.

Blava is actually awesome, and the funniest bit is that Hostel wasn't
even shot in Slovakia. The biggest problem with watching out for the
hot chicks is it means you cannot look at a single female in Slovakia,
they are all smoking hot. Really. Ask Ben to confirm, I am sure he
will.....

Yeah, I've been waiting for a deck like this to mow down the
opposition. Gremlins is fab faery cheese. Nice work Ben!

What do you think about having a Metro Underground in there instead of
one of the untap cards to give you an untapped minion when needed for,
say, multiple Deflects/Delays?

Thanks! It's kinda like the old Giovanni power bleed decks, but it
seems to work better.

The problem with that is you're waiting and hoping to draw into a
Metro Underground. Pherydima is already in the crypt, too. If
anything, I'd make more room for more Sudden Reversals.

No complaints here. ;)

Ah, yes, she of the built-in Metro. Eeeexcellent. . . .

Yeah, locking down your prey's master phase makes a lot of sense. I
hate it when some 11-cap transfers 9 blood to their pool. . . .

Cheers,

John
