On 9/10 September there will be the german championship in Karlsruhe. No qualification needed, everyone can play. We hope to have 40 players (last year we had something like 38). It愀 not far from my home so you will have a place to stay, too. Don愒 know if you are coming from Paris or Switzerland, but from Paris there is a train to Mannheim around 100EUR for the trip. If you can motivate some other people they are welcome as well.

Hey Johannes,

how come there are no qualifiers for it, and such a small attendance ? I
thought there were looooots more players in Germany ?? (no offense intended,
just real surprise)

Last year was the first time we had the german championship on a separate weekend from the qualifier. And players are mostly very conservative so they waited if it would be a good event rather than showing up for the first time. I hope from the good experience of last year that more players will come this year. And probably we will have a better foreign attendance, also.
