I'd be curious to know how many people are currently planning on going
to the North American Championships, coming up Sept 24-26 in New
Orleans.

Oscar, if you have a count, I'd love to know. Otherwise, perhaps
people can just reply here?
Thanks,
Ira

My name is Felipe Fiuza and I am from Brazil. I do have plans, but I'm
not sure if I can make it. Since I just arrived at the US with my wife
and 11 months old kid, I will only go if I can manage all this three
things:
1 - money - I dont know if I will receive my first payment in time;
2 - qualifier - Since I am not qualified yet, I would like to know if
these three things will happen: a "weekend of nightmares", a last
chance and a championship for the no-qualified guys during the main
event;
3 - cheaper hotel - I can not pay for the hotel where the event will
take place. Does anyone know a cheaper one? And also, I do have plans
to go driving a car, from West Lafayette, IN. Does anybody wants to
split gas?
Nice to meet you all,
I Iook forward to meet you in person,
Sincerely,
Felipe

I will unfortunately not make it this year :(
There are plenty of loan sharks in New Orleans.

Usuallly there is a Shadow Twin and a First Chance Qualifier for non-
qualified players.

From New York City:
Sonam Adinolf
Selen Turkay
Adam Hulse
Peter Kapsalis
Kym Alishahi
Shawn Stanley
and possibly John Whelan
Sadly... Ruben is a punk and moved back to Europe :D
Is this team NYC for the NAC or team NYC for the EC ?
Stone, your message is confusing !

According to the announced schedule
(http://www.thegrandmasquerade.com/vtes/schedule.html), there is a LCQ and a
constructed tournament for non-qualifiers, so check.

Here's hoping you can make it work. Attending one big VTES abroad is
probably the only item left on my "VTES things to do" list, so you must go
there and have one drink (on Oscar, hehe) for me!

Why 10? Not 16?
best -
chris
Cause 10 is how long WW has been publishing the game. and it's how
long I've been playing. :D We can do 16 if you like.

Have you gotten any response on this Felipe? I have a room at Motel
6, about 4 miles away for $45 per night. I could share it with one
other person, especially if they were to drive between the hotels each
day! :)
