My first table was four players. Me->Kevin->Augusto->Mike. Kevin had a
stealth bleed deck. Augusto had a very strong and gutsy deck based around
10 caps. Very nice. Mike was doing stuff with Gerald Windham.
Kevin came out pretty strong. I got some princes. Mike got Gerald and
somebody else. Augusto got Petrodon. The game went very fast as Augusto
felt a lot of pressure early and contested Arthur Denholm with Kevin, in
hopes of keeping the pressure off. That made it maybe too easy for me to
kill Kevin, but Kevin managed to bring Augusto down to 1 pool before the
table blew up. Augusto had to yield Arthur, but killed Mike (with my help
as per our deal). I finished off Kevin and took Augusto in the endgame.
I had too many guys, too much pool and too much intercept for him to get
much done.
Next game had me preying on Augusto. We almost contested Mary Anne, but I
decided not to. Folks got low at times, but a Powerbase Montreal was
going around, so nobody got ousted.
That gave me 3rd seed in the final. Seating was Javier (Gangrel combat)
-> me -> Pepe (some kind of weenie swarm, I guess) -> Mike (Gerald) ->
Kevin. Another fast game. Pepe only drew his big guys, so big guy swarm
didn't go over so well. Kevin had a horrible draw and was killed pretty
quickly by Mike. I got Pepe, since he didn't have enough minions to
block, then played Gambit Accepted and chipped away at Mike. Mike still
had a game, but Javier hadn't spent enough to die quickly, so soon enough
I got Mike. By this point, I had four princes plus Mary Anne, so Javier
didn't really have a shot, despite him getting out Ossian and Gregory
Winter at the end. He might've been able to hurt me if he'd gotten them
sooner.
Here's my deck.

Deck isn't that good at all but I think that I got lucky. Like the
first round in first game, KRCG News Radio, 2 cap out and he gets
Sniper Rifle. Well predator countered with Assault Rifle but I got the
Elysium Arboretum. And when my granpredators Mistress Fanchion (with
ankara citadel, meat hook and kevlar vest) was burned by Archon
Investigation I knew that table is mine. 1GW 3VP.
Second round I got all Ventrues into play so it was totally different
game. My roommate Jaakko was as my prey and he didn't like too much
for Hostile Takeover which I used to take one of his vampires. I just
don't understand why my predator didn't want to pay more of that
vampire since Ruxanda has -1 intercept against Ventrues and I had 3
Ventrues on table. Well he was influencing 10 cap out so maybe that is
the reason. At the end I got 2VP.
So I went to final with 1GW 5VP and that was first seed. And the
seating was this :
Mike -> Kasper -> Juan -> Timo -> Raul
Raul influenced himself fast down to 3 pool and I managed to oust him.
At that point Mike already had "Bernard, the Scourge" in game and he
was able to burn all my vampires. He actually burned one out of my 4
vampires. So I decided to play Millicent Smith to slow things down
since I had already 1VP. Rest of the game I just defended myself
against Juan who took me down to 2 pool. Mike got Kasper down to 1.
Time was counted down from 7 seconds when Juan was untapping his
vampires and would have ousted me there for victory. Close call I
would say.

I'm happy that half the cards I passed were put to good use. :)
Too bad mine weren't.
Congrats to you both.

I must commend Mr. Morgan for taking this "douche baggery" to new
heights! Mr. Matt, you see, is quite the sneaky little bastard!
He's trying to have it both ways - collecting the fame and adoration
of his many VTES groupies while actually providing an inaccurate and
incomplete deck list. It really puts those treacherous Europeans, who
delay posting their decks, to shame (plus the Eurotrash obviously
can't pull it off with as much pizzaz as Mr. Matt).
As everyone should obviously know from being well-versed in VEKN
rules, a "proper" Limited deck list includes not only the cards in
your deck at the finals, but also every card you drafted or otherwise
received:
7.2.3. Limited Deck Registration
The head judge or tournament organizer may require players to record
on a decklist every card they receive in a Limited tournament. Once
the cards are registered, players have a limited amount of time to
prepare their decks before play begins. The V:EKN recommends that
organizers check a reasonable number of decks against their decklists
each round.
So by "neglecting" to provide this crucial information (cards he
drafted but weren't in his deck), Matthew was trying to pull one over
the naive VTES community. Unfortunately for him, I was prepared for
his underhanded tricks. Talk about being totally pwned!
Nice try Matt T. but next time you'll have to do much better! TBSS.

Okay, you caught me. The deck I played contained 52 cards and we drafted
9 packs of KoT, so that's 47 cards unaccounted for. The truth, and I
didn't want to embarass my fellow players, but now you force me to, is
that the unplayed cards were all Enkil Cogs (15), Unmaskings (12),
Embraces (14, not counting the one that slipped into my deck) and Jake
Washingtons (6). I'm not sure why the other players weren't interested in
getting these cards for their collections, if not their decks. Anyway,
I'm planning to use them to all in a really awesome deck I'm working on,
so stay tuned for that!
Some honesty, for once! How refreshing!
<Eurotrash talking>
Hey! Before the tournament you told me that Enkil Cog was bad and Jake
Washington was wallpaper.... Darn!
That ain't nice, Mr Morgan!
Half of those were mine! You cheated!
You must be one of those liberals who praise that Evolution Theory
thinggy!
