Anthitesis
(Requires Justice "Discipline"? There's a Virtue in Hunter with that
name, right?)
+3 stealth action.
Put this card on a non-Sabbat vampire with capacity less than 8. The
vampire with this card cannot hunt. If he or she must hunt, he or she
taps and goes to torpor instead. Burn this card during this vampire's
discard phase.

Kneel before the Society of Leopold, you Famous vampires! :)
Not that strong - unless the Hunters have too many stealth cards
available - and thematically fantastic.

I.e., I mean the Society itself, not the card.
Better to play Anthitesis on a Fame'd vampire and the Society on other
most of the time.

I really need some extra sleep. :P

"Judgment," actually. At least that's what it's called in the
roleplaying game.

huh? +3 stealth isn't enough in most cases?

I think the point was not too tough unless all their action cards have
+3 stealth :-)

I expect a lot of daylight action stuff and a bit of True Faith myself

Exactly. That's because the card is not THAT strong, *****unless the
Hunters have too many stealth cards available*****. Meaning, if they do
have ways to easily increase the stealth for the actions they take
(i.e., masters, action modifiers etc.), the action is too strong.

ah. OK. I misunderstood what you were saying.

I don't see how this card would be too strong. Compare to Sleep of Reason,
which isn't that strong. In the vast majority of cases (barring other
Hunter tools or XTC-laced blood) it won't be that different. Sure, it
has +3 stealth, and is free, but a simple Hunting Ground or stuff like
that can thwart it. Plus, in the most cases it only affects 1 turn.

IMHO, of course.

Here is another from the newest Game Trade:

Living Wood Staff
Equipment
Requires: Cross??
Cost: X (White, star-like shape in the bottom left corner??)
Unique melee weapon.
Text: Strength damage each strike. Imbued inflict +X damage each strike
with this weapon. Using Cleave with this weapon will not burn this weapon.

More info from the article:
"... these mortals are tougher than those allies seen before. They start
with more life (most start with four, but some begin with up to six).
Having conviction to sustain them, they are merely incapacitated rather
than killed outright when losing their last life."

Yummy.

Man.

This is surprising.

They're going to torpor. There'll be another type of cost to a card.

I'm thrilled. I WANT IT NOW! :D

Almost forgot to ask that:

Anybody has a clue about which Hunter Creed has a cross symbol? The
Redemeers?

Well it's Avengers that get Cleave, which is mentioned on the card as a
bonus... but i'm not sure about the cross thing. Maybe cross is the symbol
for all Imbued? Or maybe it is just a smaller group of them.

Anyone that plays (or played) the RGP every used these rules
http://vampirerpg.free.fr/Rules/CK/ .
Lots of stuff on Holy Knights with True faith.

Lots of nice ideas that would translate to Jyhad.
Like Bless (quoted at the bottom of the post for reference)

Which could quite nicely translate to

Bless
True Faith -
Playable by an untapped minion not involved in the current combat.
Taps this minion.

Basic
Cancel the effect of any strike played by the opponent that requires
Dominate, Obeah, Presence or Chimestry. The striking minion discards
that card by may play another strike in its place that does not require
one of these disciplines. (In RPG terms increases the willpower of the
other minion)

Advanced
Target mortal gains +1 Strength and an additional strike. Only usable
before strike resolution.

Just an idea....

Bless. (3pts + 1pt per Willpower expended)
A knight may use this power to strengthen another mortal's will or
body. It cannot be used upon oneself. With the expenditure of Willpower
the knight can ask for the following blessings. It must not be
forgotten that a knight's blessing is but a channel of God's will. If
the prayer is made in frivolous or unnecessary circumstances, it will
not be granted. Willpower and Grace point expenditure still occurs,
however.
T At the cost of one Willpower the knight may grant one Willpower for
an hour.
TTT: At the cost of one Willpower the knight may grant one Willpower
for a day.
TTTTT: At the cost of one Willpower the knight may grant one Willpower
permanently.
TTTTTT: At the cost of three Willpower the knight may raise one
attribute by one dot for one hour (this can raise an attribute over
five).
TTTTTTT: At the cost of three Willpower the knight may raise one
attribute by one dot for one day.
TTTTTTTT: At the cost of three Willpower the knight may raise one
attributes by one dot for one month.
TTTTTTTTTT: At the cost of five Willpower the knight may raise a
mortal's attributes by any amount with an effect for up to one day.
Bless is restricted to one use per individual per day.
