now i understand that this can not be applied to vtes directly. all
editions are playable, its a multiplayer game and the majority of
cards are playable in some way or another. all of this results in a
great number of deck playable in tournaments.
i sure its difficult to predict what decks you could be facing when
going to any tournament where you dont know what people are playing
anyway.
however archetypes do still exist even in vtes. be it malk94,
shambling hords, clowncar ... etc.
what i think could be helpful, especialy for new players would be a
set of primers explaining the buildup, strategy, card choices etc. of
these decks that are knowen to preform well in tournaments. that way
its easy to get to konw several classic decks. it allows new players
to gain some insight on what a deck must be able to do in order to be
tournament worthy and also what kind of decks you will freequently
face.
maybe they could be collected someplace to give people a central spot
for tournament discussion and preparaition.
im sure some people will consider all this totaly unnecercery, i
however think some additional "profesionality" in regards of
tournaments might do the game good.

Resources that already cover this:
thepathofblood.com has an excellent deck discussion area on the
forums, with lots of input and good advice
thelasombra.com has an awesome collection of decks, in fact the whole
Tournament Winning Deck Archive TWDA is housed there
presence.vekn.org had a long thread titled Barbed Wire which dealt
specifically with creating decks for new players from precons. Realise
not quite what you are aiming at but still usefull.
yes i know that there are a lot of recources already arround and they
are mostly quiet excelent for thier specific purpose. however what i
was thinking of was something to get new players ready for thier first
tournament or to inspire older players to try a new deck. i much
enjoed reading magic primers as they give you much more info on the
deck than just a decklist and a few random informations. i dont know
if im knowlegable enough to write a primer myself bt i might give it a
try to show what i mean.

Sounds a lot like what is being done with the VtES podcasts though.
Have you been talking to Ector?

Massive props to the team behind it. Can't believe I didn't know about
it until now.

Yes. Extrala rocks.
Wow, what a great resource. For those who created it, I would love to
see a Clown Car Archetype... And Malk94 (maybe I missed it?)

there's a breed and boon. isn't that similar?
> And Malk94 (maybe I missed it?)
i am sure there was a stealth and bleed. or maybe it was so obvious they
skipped it. it's definitely referenced in other archetypes though.
There's a few minor errors through the article (implications of golconda
triggering soul gem, "markus vitel" instead of "marcus vitel" so the
secret library link doesn't work, overly painful excessive use of " ",
etc.), but over-all an AMAZINGLY impressive effort. two thumbs up from me.

There's the Kindred Spirits deck which is kind of similar, but not the
same. I will make an article on the Malk94 in the near future.

Yeah, there are definetely some errors here and there. Since I write
this in my spare time, this cannot be avoided entirely. But thanks for
the input anyway. I corrected the mistakes you mentioned (especially
the misconception I had about Golconda and Soul Gem), but I guess
there are more errors (in this and other deck descriptions) if you
look more closely.
As for the excessive use of the quotation marks: I use the mainly to
distinguish the game terms/card names, etc. from the rest of the text.
Maybe a personal quirk of mine.

i'm sure there are several archetyps still missing but hey that ok
after all your not getting payed for it so we can be patien.
there is one thing that bothers me but maybe the prob is on my side of
the internet. cel gun primer is heavyly damage when i try to view it.
only the first 3 or so lines are visible and the rest is blank.
are there not tournament viable brusebleed decks ? i know euro brujah
kind of goes into that sector but its more of a toolbox to me.
so all in all im curious what you will add next, when you have the
time to do so :)

Mate, it's a fantastic site. A really extraordinary piece of work.
Well done.

There really aren't tournament viable bruise bleed (or bruise
anything) decks, so far as I can tell. Letting your prey choose
between losing minions and getting ousted has never been a winning
strategy.

Sorry about the misattribution. That was Seba, not Jason.
