This year the tournament was held at the Korenbeurs in Utrecht. This
café/ restaurant has probably enough space for up to 60 people. Which
makes it an ideal location for the 19 Methuselahs, who showed up. The
food there was good. Maybe a little bit pricy, but since the location
is near a very big convention center there are plenty of alternatives
nearby. I or Paul Wiggers will do my very best to have more
tournaments there in the (near) future.
I didn’t write any details on the first 3 rounds, so I’ll just give
the final score. And the report on the final round. After the report
there are some decklists. Unfortunatly not all, so I hereby ask
players to post there played decks Below this report.

The final round report.
The seating was decided as followed:
Peter Tremere Old skool
Martin Tzimitze bruise and bleed (New style)
Remko Giovanni Khazar’s Diary
Thomas Inner Circle Politics and bleed
Debbie Ravnos madcap stealth-bleed
I was sitting between Remko and Martin, so it is written from that
perspective. The in the first few round nothing really exciting
happened. Except for the Curse of nicrotis, which did most of the
damage in the game. My estimation is it did about twenty pool damage.
After a few round the situation is as follows.
Martin has 4 minions, 9 pool, no blood dolls. He has a free game, his
prey and predator are not a real threat to him. His prey is tapped out
so he makes the bleeds pass. And to make it even better, Peter’s
Muaziz got torped last turn by a nasty combat with debbie’s crows and
bats.
Remko’s hand jams. He draws no more khazars or allies.
Thomas only has Arika out, so he is limited to his actions
Debbie has two Ravnos, is still high on pool (I mean she has about 15
pool, not that you think…. Whatever, back to the subject). And she
puts a lot of pressure on Peter.
Martin uses quickjab/ Chiropteran Mauder to torpordize Peter’s Carna,
who tried to block a mr. Wintrop.
Remko rescues Carna.

Thomas loses some pool from deflected bleeds and from Brigitte
Gebauwer. Then he plays political stranglehold with a voter
captivation to get back 5 pool.

Peter is now on 7 and very low on blood. Things look critical for him.
He plays Chantry.
Martin is on 5 pool due to the Curse and Direct intervention. He uses
every vampire to bleed with fiendish tongues and changeling.
Remko goes to 6 but plays liquidation to climb back to 9. Then he
bleeds Thomas.
Thomas decides to remain untapped and passes the turn to Debbie.
It look pretty good for her. Yes arika is dangerous, but it is just
one vampire. She bleeds and puts Peter on 5.
Peter tries to resist and tries regain strength.
Short situation sketch:
Peter: 4 pool, 3 vampires
Martin: 4 pool, 4 vampires, 2 allies (jake Washington, Carlton van
Wyck)
Remko: 9 pool, 4 vampires, 4 allies (Brigitte, Vagebond, Repo, Ossian)
Thomas: 6 pool, Arika
Debbie: 6 pool, 2 vampires
Peter is resisting more, is allowed to hunt and play govern to gain
pool.
Martin is on 3 pool due to the curse and plays vessel. It looks
critical, but he bleeds with all his vampires.
Remko goes to 6 again and again he plays liquidation to go back to 9.
Thomas bleeds, gets blocked. He plays majesty to untap. Then he plays
a banishment, which remains unblocked. He likes to play it on on of
Debbie’s Vamps, but then martin tries to pursue him to play it on
remko. Martin wants to keep the pressure on Peter, while weakening
Remko so there is more pressure on him too. Also martin threatens to
play a delaying tactics if needed. Thomas ignores the arguments and
calls it on Debbie’s minion. Martin plays a delaying tactics.
Debbie decides to pass the turn without doing any actions.
Peter starts a hunting game. Muaziz has a Ruthor’s hand and hunts
twice.
Martin bleeds just with two minions now. He might have used his last
wake on the Delaying tactics here.
Remko gets the 6th counter on the Khazar’s Diary and plays a new
repoman. Everybody expects a Khazar minion next turn.

Debbie does an unsuccessful bleed.
Peter hunts a little more. It doesn’t look critical for him anymore.
Martin is back to 5 because he still has the edge and a vessel. You
probably never guessed it: he bleeds some more.
Remko is down to 4, Khazar is still not ready.
Thomas plays a kine and doesn’t get blocked. He is in doubt. He says
he likes to do three pool damage on Remko, but after a pursasion he
does three damage on Debbie and one damage on Remko. The perspective
of having Martin as a new predator was enough to not put him on one
pool. Remko is now on 3 and Debbie is down to 6.
Debbie is having a hard time. Her smashing carrion crow-aid from bat
combat seem to be ancient history and the stealth bleeds for three
don’t hit Peter any more at all.
Times have changed for Peter. His minions have some blood back and
even the player looks more relaxed then before. In a bold move he
attempts a bleed with muaziz who has an Ivory bow equipped. Martin’s
Lolita blocks it. Peter maneuvers to long and shoots for one
aggravated. Lolita takes the perfect opportunity to play a Breathe of
the Dragon. Double K.O!
Peter’s Blythe rescues Muaziz. And Peter transfers out Mustafa Raman.
Martin tries to trick Remko into tapping all his minions. He does this
by getting blocked in rescue attempts. Then he uses two Zillah’s Tears
to untap and bleeds with every thing he has. Unfortunately Remko still
has a wake left to prevent being ousted. The toll is high, because
Martin now only has one ready vampire left.
Remko attacks Arika with Ossian and she goes to torpor. Remko also
creates three Khazar’s minions.
Things are looking horrible for Martin and Thomas, but time is almost
running out.
Unfortunatly I totally missed what Debbie did this turn. But she was
not able to change the table to her advantage.
Peter bleeds and finishes it off. The first place is granted to him
unless Remko is able to oust two people in the last three minutes.
Remko has no trouble ousting Thomas, but Debbie has enough pool and
minions left.
When Debbie untaps the last few seconds pass and it is game over.
Peter has won the tournament. Congratulations!

Anyway, thanks for organizing the tournament in this great new location. I
didn't the lunch food wasn't too expensive, but dinners might have been. I
played three absoultely great games where people played the game, played cards
and just had a laugh.
Definately most fun tournament in quite a while for me.
