i was wondering when hiers to the blood comes out (or any expansion
after that for that matter), what is the "modus opperandi" if you want
to write a recession of the set. is there a diffrence between well
established blogs, not so well established blogs and lets say large
gaming magazins ? how do all of these get hold of the information to
base thier reseccion on ?
i know there are some germany companies that send out smaples for such
reasons. please don't get me wrong this is not begging for free cards.
im just interested how that works at white wolf.
thanks in advance

Modus operandi for whom? The reviewer? Do what thou wilt shall be
the whole of the law.
There are a series of reviews of Black Hand, for example, here:

All of these were written by a normal player after the cards were
available for sale in game stores.
There are also some reviews here:

Again, written by normal players at or after the normal release of the
set.

Some of the gaming magazines have been given card lists and a few
specific cards to highlight. I'm not aware of any authors that have
been given an entire set for review.

Most of the articles that appear at the same time as the release are
written by design team members or play testers. Anything that comes
out on or after the release date is written by whomever takes the
initiative.

I'm not sure it has ever been done, purposefully providing pre-release
information to one reviewer. (Not much more than a few cards, in any
case.)

What is it you think you would like to do? Where would you publish
it? Who is your target audience? What is their financial clout, i.e.
how much are they going to buy based on your publicity? This is
definitely the type of material you should be addressing to Oscar
Garza (marketing lead) directly, it has little to nothing to do with
LSJ's normal tasks.
Carpe noctem.
The Lasombra
Your best source of V:TES information.
Now also selling boxes and individual cards.

i don't actualy plan on writing a reviwe. the situation is quite
simple. i recently learned that a german games publisher sends out
sample for review by gameing magazins and other journalistic
publication that have enough exposure to the buyers. that simply made
me wonder if other companys work the same in that respect. the
question was only based on curiosity. i dont work for a gameing
magazin or anything like that so even if samples would be send out it
would not applie to me personaly. just curiosity.
