Maybe Hugh can comment on this deck, but how the heck did he get his
actions through? Oh yeah, prevent and hit for 2 w/ WWS. I'd use
seductions, but maybe I'm wrong?

Patience is a virtue. As Oscar correctly pointed out after seeing a
sort of similar thing I played at Origins, the Vignes Mode is strong.

Congrats on (finally?) winning with this, Hugh.

Vignes Mode = act harmless and wait for your prey to tap out ignoring
the fact that you have 4 vampires with dominate. Works best if you are
Ruben Feldman, but seems to be ok for others too.

@ Chris, This deck is an attrition deck, very different to Vignes yes
Johannes, hit for two, press, prevent, same again, block their hunts/
blood gain - its a very controlling deck, I like em.

I agree that it's a very different deck than Vignes, but my experience
playing a similar deck and seeing Hugh play this one is that it ousts
similarly to how Vignes does - wait until its prey is looking weak and
then bleed very hard. The blocking and attrition tends to be what goes
on while waiting for its prey to make itself vulnerable, moreso than
an ousting strategy in itself. Have you seen it do a good job of
getting VPs by binning vamps?

Yeah, I have, the version I made (a while ago granted) used multiples
of Joseph o'Grady and depravity and a few more red cards and it was
pretty good in a fight and did manage to drop 1-2 of my preys dudes
and then carry on bleeding through.

Its easy to underestimate the POWA of just hitting for 2 with presses
and not taking damage yourself, if you wear them down for a bit and
wait for one right master (pentex, misdirect or anarch trouble I find
you can pounce for your VP handily.

Ah, right on. Did you rock some guns in that deck, too? I got a lot of
mileage out of the shotguns I had in mine.

Yeah, I think I'm used to seeing more combat than is present in most
tournament scenes, so I reflexively think that Hugh's combat package
is quite small. hur hur "small package"

Anyway both Ant & John are right - it's quite flexsible it can wait
till prey is st00pid or (especially in 3 man) can kill prey & predator
to win (as I did to Peter B @ Origins - well I got 2 :P).

This is where I'm coming from. I.e. JOL.

It might work out in LA, but not on JOL.
