So my predator has a copy of Vamp A in play with a blood doll, laptop,
Femur & Fame (played by grand prey). I transfer onto my own copy of
vamp A and bring into play meaning Vamp A is contested. What happens
to the cards on the vamp? Are they still considered in play (so
another copy of Femur or Fame would contest) or is it like a
Banishment?

The cards on a contested card are out of play, except with respect to being
contested themselves. The are contested as normal.

Another question in that direction:

Vamp A has Fame from the predator and then Vamp B from my prey gets a
fame from me. The Fame is now contested and out of play. Assuming Vamp
B gets burned or Banished what happens? I would suspect the contest is
still in place and should my predator drop the contest my fame would
re-enter play going to my ash-heap in case Vamp B got burned and on
Vamp B into uncontrolled in case he got banished. Is this correct or
does it work differently?

Two cases:

B gets burned. The contested Fame on him is burned and returned to its owner's
ash heap.
B gets Banished. The constested Fame stays on him and is out of play.

In both cases:
The other Fame (on A) remains contested until its would-be controller's untap
phase (A's predator's untap phase, since A's predator is the one contesting that
copy of Fame).
