Grrrrr. I really shot my wad and lost all of my shamblers ousting
Chris Shorb...and even that was close. However, I did get a very nice
adrenaline rush lunging to oust shorb. It's pretty hard to get my
hands shaking these days so I did enjoy the thrill.

Ira messed me up bad after that. Some suggested to me later that I
should have let Shorb oust Ira and then ousted Shorb on my own later.
That's not something I considered (kinda goes against my nature
frankly) but I also didn't know Chris had the ability to stealth by
Ira's blockers.

In any event, Ira's deck was cooking and he came back after being back
bled by Bucy's anti-Malks down to a single pool.

Good stuff.

Cool deck! Just some questions in case I want to make a similar deck.
Maybe I'm missing something.

1) Why not two sedario refraction for recursion purposes?
2) Why no Ty Cooper?
3) Was Murmur the False Will worth it? Or would more deflection/
redirection be better?
4) Was Filchware's Pawn Shop useful? If you just used it for hand
size, maybe Elder Library?
5) No Creepshow Casino for all those undirected actions?

Congratulations!

How long did it take for Ira's deck to get started? I would imagine
that if he's left alone for very long, just having a large hand size
gives you opportunities that you might not have with only so many
copies of each card in the deck. When you have 1/5 of your deck in
your hand at a time, I would think that 6 bounce is more than enough!

Congrats, Ira!

Well I don't know if you could say he was left alone. After all, his
prey back-bled him for all but one pool. But other than that, yes, he
seemed to be able to build freely.

I was also playing Giovannia and I had to give up the Parthenon to Ira
(my predator was the !Malk bleeded) and he seemed to get all of the
Gio locations and Allies before me.

I considered it, but 1 seemed to be enough. With a large hand size,
you often have what you need already. Maybe 2 would be better!

> 2) Why no Ty Cooper?

I considered it. Mostly I left Ty out because of pool costs. Maybe
it would be better with him in? Also, I don't think I own one.

> 3) Was Murmur the False Will worth it? Or would more deflection/redirection be better?

I didn't face many (any?) bleeding allies, and Guillaume is pretty old
(especially with +2 cap from Fortitude), so Murmur was good.

> 4) Was Filchware's Pawn Shop useful? If you just used it for hand size, maybe Elder Library?

Filchware's Pawn Shop is the only trifle location in the game.
Definitely worth playing a trifle that effectively says "+1 hand size
for 0 pool." I considered Elder Library, but I didn't think it was
really necessary.

> 5) No Creepshow Casino for all those undirected actions?

Good suggestion. I think I just missed that one, and I think it would
be good to include in the next version. There were a couple Governs
at superior that got blocked, and it would have been nice to have an
extra stealth.

Probably a good addition as well. I might have overlooked it since I
play blood dolls and vessels, but it's likely good to include!

If by "had to give up the Parthenon" you mean that you "didn't block
Felix's action to burn The Parthnon", then I agree. :)

Meh. Whatever. I couldn't remember whether or not we'd contested.
Either way though, I had a Parthenon and a Felix in my deck too, and I
already knew based on our pool totals at the time that I wouldn't be
able to contest a Parthenon with you.

Then again, had I known Bucy was going to take you down to 1 pool I
would have tried to fight you for it. :-)

Needs more Insurance Scams. =)

Even just 1 should be enough. Good for "just in case", and you of
course get to pick what you discard, so should be no big deal.

Oh Ira, if only you were playing this deck as the prey to my Arika deck...

best -
