I would like to announce the upcoming Sect Wars Draft + Danish ECQ
2010 in Copenhagen!
What: Sect Wars Draft + ECQ 2010
When: April 24th (Sect Wars) + April 25th (ECQ 2010)
Where: IT-University, Rued Langgaards Vej 7, 2300 København S
April 24th, Sect Wars Draft.

Registration starts at 10.30
The 1 hour deck building period starts at 11.30
This will be a 2 rounds + final (2 hour limit) tournament, and the
first round starts at 12.30
PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU PLAN ON ATTENDING THIS EVENT, AS THE NUMBER
OF PLAYERS AFFECT WHAT SHOULD BE PLAYED.
Entry fee: 210 Danish Kroner (around 28 euros)
This gives each player a starter deck from the selected Sect and
access to cards from the18 boosters the team has available.
Prizes will be a display of boosters (not determined yet which one) to
be shared amongst the team.

This will be a 3 rounds + final (2 hour limit).
Entry fee: 40 Danish kroner (5 euros)

This event is an alternate tournament format that is unsanctionable.
This format is somewhat based on the NAC 2009 event.
Laibon vs. Sabbat vs. Camarilla vs. Independents
and
Vampires vs. Hunters
Maximum participants = 36
8 Sabbat players
8 Laibon players
8 Camarilla players
8 Independent players
4 Imbued players
There will be 2 teams for each sect, made up of 4 players.
Each sect will have 4 players sit together and make the best 4
possible decks
from the 4 starters and 18 boosters provided to them.
(4 Third Edition starters + 18 Third Edition Boosters, 4 Legacies of
Blood starters + 18 Ebony Kingdom boosters,
4 Keepers of Tradition Starters + 18 Keepers of Tradition boosters, 4
Lords of the Night Starters + 18 Lords of the Night Boosters)
Collaborative deck building at its finest.
The Imbued will split 2 boxes of Nights of Reckoning to make their
best 4 possible decks.
(18 boosters per player, as Nights of Reckoning has no preconstructed
starters.)
We are considering using Bloodline starters for this, but at the
moment of writing this, we do not yet know how suited they would be
for an event like this.
There will be 1 hour set aside for deck building.
This will be a 2 round plus final event.
One player from each sect will be present on each table to minimize
contestation. If an Imbued team plays, then only one Imbued player
will be at each table.
The top player from each of the sects plus the top Imbued player will
play the final round.
(If there is no Imbued team, then the finals will be a four player
game.

I'll do my darnest to attend as once again during the last EC I had a
blast with the Danes (Mikkel, Jesper, Kasper & Martin)!

My arrival is now certain having bought the ticket.
Will be there both days as the plane will arrive at 08.20 on Saturday
morning so will also take part in the Sect Wars.
Apparently the venue is like only some 8 kilometres away from the
airport?

Yep, and there is a Metro station in the airport which takes you to
about 1 kilometer from the venue.

I was planning on taking a cab especially since it is so short a ride
(less than 10 klicks), but since I have plenty fo time before the
event starts I dodn't mind the cheaper alternative. Would you happen
to recall off bat the name of the closest metro station?

Fo rthe same price I'll also include a mouth for war...
No preference for the Sect War -I'll be glad to be assigned whichever
side is lacking most players etc.
Heh, after today's weekly VTES game(s) I'll be heading off to see the
classic Danish psychobilly band Nekromantix, who've sold out a big
local venue for two nights in a row. Go Denmark!
