Nethack 3.4.3 win32 binaries and Win7/x64

I've been using the official win32 binaries for quite a while. I just
upgraded to Windows 7 x64.. and the binaries will not work. I tried all
the XP compatibility modes, but the application closes immediately
without ever showing everything and Win7 helpfully categorises the error
as 'APPCRASH'. Any ideas/pointers? Thanks!

1. Install the tty windoze version.
2. Open the command shell/dos/CLI. (or whatever the f they decided to
call it *this* time)
3. change to the directory #2 was installed in.
cd <drive letter>:\<full path to directory installed in without
preceeding slash>
4. type:
nethack<return>

FOURTH time helped. I'm using WinRAR 3.91, so don't ask me what I did
differently... but it now works.
