speed brand

The "of speed' brand doesn't seem to work for me. When I wield a bow
of speed, it seems I'm hitting only once, not twice, even at skill 9.
And a 1,3 speed longsword doesn't seem nearly as effective as a +4,+5
katana.
Are speed weapons really twice as effective at low level? Will the
+1,+3 longsword exceed the katana in strength, and if so, when?

crawl043 character recovery

I was playing a HOFi and was in the elven halls lv1 when a preist cast
a spell and my game crashed. I reloaded it and every time i try to
load that character it crashes again. This character was doing
decently. Is there any way to get it back?

-- go for you more straighforwardly,

I'm finally at the stage where I know enough of the intricacies of
Powder to get close to ascension, this guy's the closest I've been so
far. I managed to squish Beelzebub with just physical attacks while
standing on lava, which made me feel pretty badass! I felt less badass
when I saw the message "Beelzebub's evil Heart drops into the lava".

Crawl SS - totally stuck?

I've just started playing Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, having played Angband
for years. After a couple of characters I've finally got one that seems
to be doing alright. I've descended to about level 12 and then gone back

Yay. After playing POWDER for some months (since 103) I finally
succeeded in ascending a fighter.
This was the first time the RNG was gracious to me. I found four
randart arrows of life-saving, one ls-necklace and a ls-bow. I wore +3

Hello,
I have released a small update on LambdaRogue. We're now at 1.2, while
in the background my rewrite process continues.
Important changes:
- rare items, unique items and potions (except the ones you have
bought already in a shop) have to be identified
- 2 new monster abilities: "heal" and "weaken"

I was in the Snake Pit, cast a spell and zammo! Windows closed Crawl
with an error message that said little or nothing intelligible. A
bunch of hexadecimal characters! Then when I clicked OK all that info
went bye-bye. So I guess I cannot share it with the programmers?
