Dear all,

My High Elf Paladin escaped with the orb :)
I love this combo. Some remarks:
-- I met *four* labyrinths and two bazaars!
-- Tiamat in Zot has been awfully difficult to kill.
-- Since I had forgotten my shield of resist fire,
and I met 7 orbs of fire, I got quite a number
of mutations :p
-- I blessed a katana and it became a Blessed Blade
doing damage 14 (and I forgot as to the accuracy).
Is there any advantage in blessing a katana over
a usual long sword? I don't remember the figures
linked with a blessed long sword --
-- I trained Dodging and Stealth also till level 7 or 8
but it kept improving when I wore a dragon armour!
When wuite good, 12 in Dodging is good to have!
-- First time I manage to kill Antaeus! He killed
already two of my promising ones as the ice devils
are very very tough opponents, and by the time
he appeared, well, half of my HP were gone --
-- Snatching the orbs has been more difficult than
previous times, though I was very stealthy, and
I had boots of running, all the ancient liches
came, plus some golems, and some dragons and an
orb of fire and I was feeling very lonely down there!
Only two killer klowns showed however --
-- I did a small detour on my way out (the demons
where anyway no big deal :p) to fetch all my lovely
runes :)

Resist fire would only have helped with the direct attacks. Only rMut
prevents mutations.

From Henzell for post-blessing: Long sword -- 12/+0/130%, katana --
14/+1/130%. Katana all the way

things on damage and delay -- to-hit modifiers are pretty meaningless
with TSO's halo.) Scimitars are the best common choice (12/-1/120%).

Once your Armour skill is high enough, you'll start to train Dodging.

Thanks! Well, I love long swords of speed -- a katana of speed
would be awesome (I found a great sword of speed early in one
game -- died of carelessness at DL 20 :(
