Except that Sigmund has the potential to kill you even after you've
reduced him to a stain on the floor. If you don't understand the weapon
speed system, trying to use his scythe will probably lead to a hobgoblin
killing you with a club or a dagger.

Only cause he appears earlier, I think.

I'll admit that I'm biased because I'm playing Draconian Transmuters
these days, and Grinder is the toughest thing to run into early that
resists noxious and poisonous fumes from Evaporate, which make short
work of Sigmund.

Not really. Grinder's depth is 3-6, Sigmund's is 2-7.
