This is what happened since 0.1.6:
* 5 new unique planets (actually 10, but 5 are pretty similiar to
each other)
* Bigger spacemap
* Wormholes
* Gas giants
* selling disabled if you have no cargo
* UI Improvements: You can land from the scanning screen, System
overview shows atmosphere
* Balance tweaks: Jetpacks need fuel, Firearms have more punch,
Lower tier short range Weapons are more expensive
* Fixed some glitches and bugs
* Fixed some typos again

Yeah I still like the game! Nice set of new features!
sulai
I really like the new version, especially with all of the new goodies
you have added!
Beside the really heartfelt gratitude for the game and its continued
development (so may games would have fallen by the wayside before
this, you just keep adding new and often exciting features, while also
making the game more mature), I have a few minor glitches to report -
a) You can continually get biodata on (some?) planets full of moss &
geysers, if you keep trying (or have Autoinspect on, though you do
seems to have to move off the square and back onto it) you will
sometimes get more biodata. It will also often say 'smoke' not 'moss'
on the new inspection line, this may be the issue (changing terrain?)
b) In this version I never seem to see if I have picked up equipment
on a planet, I only notice later when I check my stats. Oh and do away
team corpses have less chance for equipment now?
Cheers,
Xeno
Hmm, I really like some of the new details like meteor strikes, one
hit my away team and most of them survived but the new mountains
trapped them until they dies of lack of air. A lesson learned I think!
I have 2 more little display glitches though ;)
a) If you are e'x'amining your surroundings the 1st creature you
select is full detailed, but this happens automatically (no need for
selection) and then uses a turn (well sort of you can't check anything
else until you clear out from examining). In theory you would be
unable to examine a creature that was surrounded on all sides by
others. Also once you get the details the creatures icon is overwritten
until the next refresh, which only happen on the turn After you quit
out of examine.
b) On an semi ocean world (liquid water, on an very cold outer
world?), I found some rubble and decided to drill through it, this
caused a whole portion of the map to suddenly become visible (well
beyond my visual range!), I tried this again (with a second piece of
rubble) and it happened again to a lesser degree (overlap?).
First of all thx! It's fun doing, so the wayside isn't in sight yet :)
There was a bug with dead awayteams (I pushed around the corpses after
placing them, leaveng their items invisible on the spot where they
were created). That one is fixed (and some others)
And yes: a world covered in moss and ferns is a botanists dream.
As for the others I shall look into. Thanks!
Oh!
Right
Sorry, got it, yes. that would reset vegetation values and it
shouldnt. Thanks for pointing it out!
I'm glad :) I hope Prospector keeps going for quite some time!
I've encountered an odd bug, if a creature asks to trade with you and
you accept you can give resources you have picked up but once you have
done so and got the shiney from the creature the amount of resources
does not go down (the resource aggregate value line, the 'resource
name'(x) does go down by one). Does this mean that it is free? (well
unless you trade all of your resources, and never pick any more up to
sell at the station etc.)
Beside that the Fern & moss world is a gold mine, as far as I can see
you could get infinite money from there! Also does it usually have an
abandoned mining building? and does that type of building ever do
anything?
There is a small chance for items in those buildings. Maybe it is a
little too small :)
And yes, that is a bug that makes trading free. Thanks for pointing it
out!
Ah I've been playing a bit and have a few more comments on this
wonderful game (beside the running out of jetpack fuel inside a
mountain range :P)
a) The ancient refueling platforms dont let you go out into thr gas
with jetpacks, which may be intentional, but if it is the emergency
jump for your jetpacks does (& if you try enough lets you get the
resources out there)
Dead robot 'corpses' will regenerate their resources when you reland
on the map. This seems to be related to the resources (& equipment)
respawn on relanding.
Does the stranded casino only try to allow you to play once? I chose
to leave before gambling and ever after it would not let me play again
and it just displayed as a 'stranded ship beyond repair' after that (I
also tried again after relanding). Is this intentional or somehow
cause by inspecting the ship (via Autoinspect in this case)?
Cheers,
Xeno
atually there shouldnt be resources out there... thanks for pointing
it out :)
Casino: mixed something up there. Isn't supposed to dissapear. again
thanks for the bug reports!
Hello again magellan :)
I have a few more minor reports, a clarification on an old one and a
feature request!
a) The issue with the suddenly appearing 'explored' is definitely to
do with 'f'ireing (weapon/drill), and also will refresh other seen
areas (sometime this will make the hidden away team equipment appear).
b) Picking up resources (maybe only iron?) will refuel your jetpacks
c) If you use 'w'alk to continue move and you have jetpacks and they
run out it will continue to waste turns/air trying to move another
square which need the jetpacks to move (dangerous!)
d) Feature request - Jetpacks run out of fuel Very quickly and if they
run out over mountains/deepwater which has no accessible squares you
are dead! Maybe you should be able to set a minimum amount that you
keep in reserve (i.e. you have to explicitly say Yes to use the
jetpacks once it gets to that level), and it may be an idea to add a
piece of equipment that gives you more fuel.
i.e. extra jet fuel tank (10 fuel?), or Emergency fuel tank (use to
refuel you jet packs, one off use? mixes both ideas)
Cheers,
Xeno.
A few more to add to the list in my previous post -
e) Question - What would happen if your Captain (you) died but another
member of your away team successfully made it back to the ship? I have
seen the Captain die (from asphyxiation) before some of my officers
before, though I have never made it back to the ship in these cases (I
almost did once see below). How would you replace him? :D
f) Asphyxiation damage can be blocked by armour! I would have thought
this type of damage would be unblockable. This can give you several
extra turns once your air runs out to make it back to your ship.
g) I picked up an alien artifact (disruptor cannon) and replaced my
initial ships gun with it and got the following error (artifact was
equipped ok) - ERROR: attempted to destroy nonexistant item 29
Edit: actually I can continue to pick up the same (or an infinite
stack?) artifact at the same spot time and time again! It always gives
me the same error (even if I don't identify it), I assume the game is
trying to dest the artifact after picking it up but it does not work!.
I now have every type of artifact (except personal armour & weapons,
are the really powerful ones of theses artifacts?). I guess this game
is a bust :(
h) Additional info - The 'w'alk issue is not just for jetpacks, it
trying to continue when there is no path happens all the time.
I've been thinking about adding such an item. Of course miscalculating
the way back is one of the classical ways to die in this game :) ...
thinking about it i suddenly realize that low jetpack fuel doesn't
give warnings either...
(just a little sidenote: not feeling like debugging today i just added
abandoned drifting spaceships for the next release. Lots of fun
possibilities there... :) )
If the captain dies yet you make it back he gets ressurrected.
And yes, there are no damage types. (guess there should be)
The artifact thing is wierd. Will have to look into it.
