Are there any good-size, stable, tile-graphics roguelikes in the
steampunk genre out there? I've been unable to find anything.
I've tried to use a few roguelikes that ran ASCII, but i just can't
adjust. Looks like DCSS tiles has spoiled me.

Steamband is an Angband variant, I believe it supports tiles.

Gearhead and Gearhead 2 aren't steam punk, but they are SF based

Despite the insane variety of angband variants, they all seem kinda the
same when playing...

This is because, well, they /are/ almost entirely identical. The only thing
that changes between variants (other than asthetics) is the difficulty
level.

I can survive for a fair bit playing T.O.M.E., but any version of ZAngband
is full of insta-death moments (certain traps, sudden breath-weapons from
off-screen mobs, etc.)
