Seven Day Roguelike 2012: Call For Dates

It is now time for the eighth annual Seven Day Roguelilke Challenge!
Roguelike authors are faced with the grueling challenge of making a
complete roguelike within one hundred and sixty eight hours. With
another year of wisdom, and another year's worth of new hopefuls,
what
will the results be?
First, what is a Seven Day Roguelike?
After eight years, I shouldn't have to tell you.

A Seven Day Roguelike (7DRL) can be written at any time. However, a
general agreement was reached that it would be fun to schedule a
specific week for a challenge. This allows the various authors to
know that others are also desperately tracking down a bad pointer
reference on the 167th hour.
Now, we must choose a week.
For a given week, you can start at any time on the Saturday or
Sunday. You start by posting to rec.games.roguelike.development.
Your
timelimit is then 168 hours from that point. Thus, if you started on
February 20th at 15:00 EDT, you must finish on February 27th at 15:00
EDT. You finish (if successful) with an announcement to
rec.games.roguelike.announce.
You can use either your timezone, or the timezone of the computer you
are working on. The start and end timezones have to be, of course,
the same.
As per tradition, three weeks have been selected. January is right
out, as that is not enough warning. Same goes for first week of
February. The following two weeks can easily run into Valentines,
and
I don't want any angry significant others tracking me down. We've
also been slipping one day earlier each year, so I'm resetting it
forward
again a week this year.
Thus, the available weeks are:
1) February 25th to March 4th
2) March 3rd to March 11th
3) March 10th to March 18th
Please post a reply to this message listing *all* weeks that you
would
be able & willing to participate.
Ie, I would post and say: "I can attend all three weeks". If you
reply more than once, the latest reply will be used as the final
result.
Next Wednesday I'll take a count to see which week has the most
votes. In case of tie, the *latest* date will be picked. This is
designed to match with last years challenge, and avoid interference
with GDC, which is Feb 28th to March 4th this year.
We also want to determine if running the call for dates every year is
a good thing. An alternative proposal is that we consider the "First
Saturday of March" to be the fixed time. If you care, include in your
response whether you want the date fixed.

I'm available all dates. I'd prefer a fixed date system in future
though.

As it coincides with a long weekend here in Australia.
Im on the fence about the fixed date thing: while its good to know well in advance when the week will be, Its also good to have a bit of flexibility.

overall, e.g. "week starting the first saturday in march" or "week
starting the last saturday in February". Then I can plan my years well
in advance!
