I wrote a 7DRL "kusemono":
http://www.interq.or.jp/libra/oohara/kusemono/index.html
README:
http://www.interq.or.jp/libra/oohara/kusemono/README-20110312.txt
It is a game of sneaking and stabbing. Don't worry, the FOV is
not directional.

The time now is Sat, 12 Mar 2011 21:05:39 +0900.
The challenge began at Sat, 05 Mar 2011 23:26:20 +0900.

Note that:
* Only the source code is available; you have to compile it with
gcc and ncurses.
* Please read README before playing; you need to know how to toggle
the searching/running mode.
* My mutant ants are purple (at least when they are angry).

I haven't played it yet, but I managed to compile the game under
Windows (with MinGW GCC and PDCurses library). Binaries:

Very cool game. I love how many different situations the running mechanic is good for: From hiding behind corners and only showing yourself enough to draw enemies to you so you can pick them off one by one, to stabbing your way like a badass through a roomful of ants, to running away in panic not knowing how close behind the angry mutants who want to rip you to shreds are. I used to think that Crawl's stealth mechanic was pretty good for a roguelike, but this one takes the cake. Or, rather, walks next to the cake until suddenly dashing in, grabbing it, and running away cackling like a maniac.

Took me about six or seven tries to kill the Queen. That was without using the wand or the spellbook, though I did down a potion of speed. Then I just started another game (and learned how awesome the wand is). And then another game, and another. Confound these ants, they drive me to stab ):

Very interesting game, this is roguelike stealth done really well. I
wonder how this mechanic would work combined with darkness, and ranged
combat...

Thank you. I uploaded it to the webpage.

I found bugs in the monster AI, theoretical bugs in turn order
handling (they don't affect _this_ game; don't add a new monster
once the game begins) and a typo in README. I will search for
more bugs and release a bug fix later.
