I'm starting work on a 7DRL for the 7DRL competition 2010! It's name
is Underhall, and it's going to be a fairly typical fantasy roguelike.
However, it's major feature will be that it will be in simple 1st
person 3d. Here's some vague plans I have for it:

- Food heals you (No hunger)
- No classes (won't have time)
- 10 dungeon levels that regenerate like Angband
- At least 1 monster for each level. Hopefully 3.
- Armor covers whole body, no slots for head, arms, legs, etc.
- Multiple ranges of weapon
- Still turn based
- Player levels, each level the player gets to select a stat to
increase more than the others (3 stats: attack, defense, health)
- In 3d!

So, that's a lot of work in and of itself. If I have time, I might
include a few potions or scrolls.

Revision already. I've decided to go with 5 levels of enemies, which
would make the enemies change level every 2 floors. I might again
revise this, depending on how things go. I just don't want the player
to face new stuff every level. There will probably be 3 levels of
weapons/armor/food: low, medium, high.

Just a small update. This will be released some time tomorrow. I'm
hoping to release as both a nice installer and as a .zip file. I
haven't been able to do much beta testing on other machines, so I'm
hoping I will be able to avoid missing any DLLs during packaging.
Anyway, it's 3d 1st person, yay, and it has 10 levels. You descend to
the bottom and try to kill the dragon, then make it out alive. Takes
me between 2-3 hours to win. There's a ton of different enemies, food
heals you, and armor covers the whole body. And it's got a nice
dungeon generator. I ended up not putting in ranged weapons, because I
didn't feel like the game needed it. Anyway, check it out tomorrow,
it's pretty nice.

And by tomorrow, I mean later today. I'm just up absurdly late.
