Okay...

I don't want to use git, or bazaar, or svn, or any version control at
all. I don't want that overhead, the code is less than 50kb, and it
will be abandoned next week.

I don't want the licenses I can use dictated to me, unless they're
going to allow CC-BY, which nobody seems to.

I want to spend time on my entry, not on jumping through hoops to make
it available.

Can anyone suggest a free service which I can just dump the code and
binaries into through a web interface, and make it public with the
minimum of fuss?

Thanks,

Sock

Try a free Wordpress Blog. First Google result: http://blogetery.com/
You can attach arbitrary files to your posts, so just zip up your game
(code or just executables/data) and go.

I had exactly the same position and I settled on Google Sites to host
Brogue: http://sites.google.com/site/broguegame/

It's free, very fast and easy to set up and comes with sufficient
hosting space to upload your game and plenty of screenshots.
