During Ludum Dare #22 last month, I put together a coffee-break rogue-like about surviving a plane crash at sea and the journey back to shore alone. For the past month or so, I've been refining that idea and I'm happy to announce that I'm releasing it as v1.0 today.

It's available at Kongregate:

I would appreciate any and all feedback, thoughts, criticisms, etc. I hope to work on this over the next month or so, adding what I can and addressing concerns before diving into the 7DRL for the first time.

It seems like it's hard to find all the islands. The gulls are a nice
touch, but even if I keep to the middle of the screen I can go by an
island without ever knowing it was there. You might want to ensure a
little more water is generated. If I efficiently hit all the islands, it
doesn't seem right that I still die of thirst.

It's tedious clicking the crate and clicking to get everything from it
when that's all I'd ever do with a crate. Maybe it would be better if
you auto-looted crates you stand on.

Hey I liked it. I beat it on the 3rd try. The first time I ran out
of water. Then clothes and water. Finally I beat it with just enough
water and energy to make shore. I think it was fun. I didn't find out
what the planks did. But everything else seemed self explanatory.
Seems a bit random whether you'll find an island or not. I sort of zig
zagged to find islands.

I liked that game. Thank you.

Bonus points for trying a novel theme. I managed to win on my first try
:)
