This coffeebreak roguelike is written in JS/HTML5; project page at http://code.google.com/p/roguezombies/ and playable version at http://ondras.zarovi.cz/roguezombies/ .

The main goal of this game is to survive as long as possible and kill maximum amount of zombies. They will eat ya brainz!

Have fun,

How do you attack the zombies? Nothing happens when I "step" on them.

I tried the playable version. All I get is an empty black screen. I am
running Internet Explorer 8.

And there's your problem.

Possible solutions:

Exactly. The game is written using Canvas, a technology available in IE9, FF, Chrome, Opera, Safari...

Howdy,

I have been playing rogue zombies at work, during coffee breaks
*cough*, you have done well, its fast and fun and pretty addictive. my
best is 582 rounds and 1218 kills

it is fine as is but there are a couple of extras you could add if you
felt like it, i doubt they would take much extra programming

a shot gun - like a bazooka but only killing one zombie at a time,
good for picking off zombies when laying barbed wire.

waves - if you had quiet periods in between zombie waves you could
build up fortifications and stockpile resources, you could make it so
you get paid at the end of each wave, it would add a bit of tension
and make you sweat over your item purchases a bit. it would also allow
you to hatch more elaborate zombie killing plans.

Good job!

Hi there,

thanks for a positive feedback! Your score is most impressive; I doubt I ever heard about such a high frag amount.

The improvements you suggested make sense; I will try to implement them in some fashion when I have some spare time.
