Hellband 0.8.2 released

Hi,

Hellband 0.8.3 has been released.

Major changes for this release : Added alchemy system of EyAngband,
added 17 monster flags.

The source files are available at

- 0.8.2 Birth screen does not allow to increase a stat when 0 points
available (bugfix)
- 0.8.2 Players start with weapons/armor equipped
- 0.8.2 Players start with 1 Lantern fully charged
- 0.8.2 Players start with 2 or 3 scrolls of teleport

UI
- 0.8.2 Alchemist no longer declares that 'all is identified' (bugfix)
- 0.8.2 Shop services are now displayed in a more terse fashion to
allow for more future services
- 0.8.2 Racial powers are now 'n' repeatable, making Dark Elf a
'blast'
- 0.8.2 New level names for first 26 levels

Combat & Magic
- 0.8.2 Hellfire now hurts evil and good except demons, devils and
dragons
- 0.8.2 Disenchantment now gets resisted by disenchantment breathers
(bugfix)
- 0.8.2 Nexus now gets resisted by nexus breathers (bugfix)
- 0.8.2 Disintegrate checked wrong flag set for uniqueness of monster
( bugfix )

Internals
- 0.8.2 Revamped brand/slay handling completely
- 0.8.2 Revamped most of damage type handling with spells completely
- 0.8.2 Rewrote how sheaths work

Artefacts :
- 0.8.2 Draebors cloak now activates for mass confusion and blink
- 0.8.2 Furcifers' and Michaels' swords are now more restricted with
their slays

Great. I'll have to get the new version.

I've played a few characters and am greatly enjoying the feel to the game. The
one thing I'd really suggest changing is to rename all the races. The feel is
terrific, but having tolkien-esque elf/dwarf/hobbit/etc as starting options
seems a bit jarring. Perhaps switch to Gypsy instead of Dark Elf and then
various 15-17th century Italian nation state nationalities instead of the other
ones (Apulian, Lombardian, Calabri, Abruzzi, etc.). Or modern nationalities.

Still trying to get past dlevel 10. Those darn tombs are just too tempting,
even though the description does explicitly say not to mess with them. Those
screaming skulls of vengence are impressively destructive.

Yeah. I would almost advise to even leave alone the drop_great unique
on that level, my targeting macro selected a tomb by accident and I had
sold my teleport level scroll...

I will change races, but still allow for blood traces of the elves &
dwarves. Thanks for the kind words.

Or three flags with duplicate values.

Yay ! You got me worried there for a while, but fortunately I only
messed up my change log, as I played around with some monster
resistances before chosing the final set. Will update changes.txt

Finding some issues with replacemen races, I had most already covered
in my T-Engine module.
But I cant seem to find a suitable replacement for Klackons. Any ideas
any one ?
