Hello.

I'm now playing Hi-Elf Ranger and I have been able to cast ID from clvl
23 and at that point failure rate was 50%. I'm now at clvl 32 and
failure rate is still 50%. Int is 17.

There are some other spells too that stay at 50% for long long time
(like recharging). Is this normal? Shouldn't failure rate go down? Can't
remember, it has been so long since I last time played Ranger.

There was a change that if the failure rate is above 50% according to the old
rules, you now get it for 50%. So it might be dropping slowly down from 75%,
but until it gets below 50% you won't notice a difference.

I suspected something like that because there were no spells that were
worse than 50%.

So Rangers still suck at ID. Not pseudo anymore, but spell. Bummer.

Drolems are still dangerous even with double poison resistance. I didn't
remember they hit that hard. Nearly died to one because my speed is
below +10. HP is only about 300. Stuck at "not enough HP to survive
deep, and not enough speed to deal with fast monsters". I have haste,
but that too is 50% failure. One good thing though, I have Pain and can
use Elec ring with it and still have five blows (haven't found acid yet).
