Got my first win a couple months ago, but never posted. This guy was
pretty hard in the beginning, and never got fire bolt until well into
the midgame, but was quite powerful by the end. Artifact drops were
amazing, thanks in part to my crowning with Sun's Messenger and two
greater undead vaults, the first had the BoW, the second the staff of
the archmagi. Not a single wish, however. The mana temple was really
easy for this character, just upped my willpower to raise the range of
my ball spells, coupled with lots of monster detection, and blasted
most of the magebane and magedoom eyes through the wall from the
hallway leading up to the entrance. Managed to take out many of the
chaos wizards that way too. By the time I opened up the temple, I
think there were only 2 or 3 eyes left, and those were panicked so I
was able to kill most everything with magic.
