The title just about sums it up... I visited the Minotaur Maze (don't
ask me why... I don't really know myself) with a Gnomish Wizard and my
only climbing set got crushed. I was trapped in the northwest part of
the map until I found one. After dancing around in the High Kings
cavernous rooms for far too long, I decided to see if the Rift was
climbable without a climbing set. With the other requirements met
(climbing 100, Willpower over whatever minimum), I was able to get
down! I slipped, of course, but the equipment destruction didn't seem
absurdly large. The bottom of the rift had the ratling dealer (and a
room of karmic dragons on the floor above!), so I was able to get to
the Library and read me some books.

A quick question: if you refuse the Ghost Librarian's delivery quest
(Weird Tome), he says something along the lines of "maybe some other
time" - will he ever give you the option to deliver the Tome again? I
accidentally refused the quest, then died (crushed to death while
reading... I wasn't paying attention) without him ever giving the
quest again.

"Stunned Time": When thieves reach level 6, they get the "search every
turn" ability. I had a Trollish Thief (ended up winning) who ate a
displacer beast corpse while past level 6. The ensuing stunning was
very interesting... every step I tried to take was met with the
message about not being able to search due to being stunned, but my
character still moved in a random direction. The strange part was
that none of the monsters moved at all during the stunning period,
which was 100+ game turns. The character stumbled into a giant bat
and killed it, but none of the creatures moved at all. This was later
repeated at least once more. Not sure if there's any practical uses
for this, but it was very interesting, nonetheless.

I have 2 winners (including a UNE!) that I'll post some time in the
future, but I'm currently in Ethiopia and the computer at this
internet cafe doesn't have a working USB port, so I can't get the
information over to post.
