There are some downright awful Premier translites. The Monte Carlo
translite looks like a stop action photo from a low budget, rip-off,
James Bond casino scene. That being said, this Las Vegas Monte Carlo
translite makes this machine look awsome!
Now , let's see what someone could do with Bad Girls and Raven. Let's
throw in an honorable mention to a Bally's Hardbody too.

found a monte carlo on location today. tbh i didnt even notice the
backglass. was too busy looking at the tiny score display, the higher than
normal playfield and the huge topper on it.
probably fit right into a 1987 casino. fun game tho. managed to lock two
balls before draining hahaha.
Here's the original:
I would like to see alternates for a couple of Sys80Bs. Once those
photo translites bleach out, all of them look like crap. It's a shame,
because the first 3 80Bs (Chicago Cubs, Bounty Hunter, and Tag Team
Pinball) with drawn backglasses are pretty nice. Even Rock isn't too bad.

I owned that Monte Carlo and had the translight made from a women in
Las Vegas that sold Vegas pictures etc, she added the lettering and
printed it on what she called movie poster paper. I guess i should
have ordered more. Its been about 3 years since I sold it but I see it
up for sale here and there and I always know that it is the one that I
owned. I guess it was my version of scratching my initials into the
game, I probably still have her contact info somewhere if anyone is
interetested, I don't rememeber exactly what the cost was I would say
around $60 give or take
Yeah but the original had Gil and Alvin themselves in the picture.
Plus I love the girl's with the '80's big hair.
Easy, change it to Rambo. Would need to make an overlay for the pf
too though.
Ann,
Your old Monte Carlo is going to a good home. I just bought it
yesterday and will be picking it up Saturday. The pin is going in my
game room with a slot machine on each side of it :)
If you can get the info of the lady that did the translight art...I
know a guy on KLOV that really wants to replace the one on his MC with
the one mine has.
Can anyone elaborate on the Lady that did it or the procedure that we
could use to duplicate it?
Thanks

Yep, girls with the '80's big hair look rock! I must admit I had a soft
spot for the blonde (wearing the red dress) in Bad Girls :o
When Gottlieb came out with the photo translites I remember thinking
they looked pretty good. They definitely stood out from the rest of the
games. I think it was a pretty bold move on Premier's part to go with
that technology at the time.
