Both fun games. I lean towards Batman Forever as I think it has more
staying power and Sega clearly put some money into the game -- you
have to make sure the display is working well since they are expensive
to replace. I've sometimes heard it referenced as a poor man's
STTNG. I have STTNG and there are a few similarities such as being
a widebody game and having a canon to fire the ball. It also has
drop targets, multiple ramps (although you have to upgrade the flipper
coil to stronger one if it hasn't already been to get it up one of the
ramps) and while the movie was probably the worst or 2nd worst batman
movie ever, it had major stars (that are still well known) and the
batman theme holds up well overall. Fastbreak is deceptively fun
though. I don't own one but have played it several times and I had
fun with it. I feel I would more likely tire of Fastbreak over time
as part of a collection --- especially if it was small, but I'm sure
opinions vary as always. Other than the risk of having to replace an
expensive display, I can highly recommend Batman Forever as a very
good game at an attractive price point.

NBA Fastbreak by a mile! Unique, underrated, and (thankfully)
underpriced in my opinion.

Batman Forever is one of my least favorite games ever. Layer upon layer
of seemingly endless ramp & habitrail architecture. Unnecessarily
complex mess. "Where's the left inlane?" It's under that giant bat and a
green rollercoaster. "Where's the left orbit?" Oh, it's behind a huge
plastic mountain. "What's going on in the back of the playfield?" Your
guess is as good as mine.

Batman Forever over NBAFB all day long. Much better staying power and a lot more to do. NBAFB gets old real fast. I owned one had it for about a month and couldn't get rid of it quick enough. BF on the other hand, always has me coming back for more. Great ramps, drops modes cool multiball and oh yeah the batwing is awesome.

NBAFB blows. BF has to be one of the most underrated games ever. By far Sega's best effort.

I've never played Batman but I have played NBAFB and I think it's
awesome. Totally great sound package. Great artwork too. The action
keeps coming on NBA, and the only time it seems to slow down or stop
is when you go to the concession stand...and even that is FUN!

Speaking generally of pinball prices in relation to locale, would a
Batman Forever be more expensive or less expensive if it were local to
say...Gotham City?

BF is one of the best games ever made. Blows away most of B/W titles.

Especially the bottom of the barrel B/W titles like NBAFB.

BF is climbing in price. NBAFB is not.
