The record your voice was for mailing what you said to loved ones. Long
distance phone charges in those days were huge - and the records were
also used to send to family in the army overseas...

Very cool, the Magic Baseball game with the large mannequin is one

It is also well known that a few major recording artists from back in
the day made first attempt records in these booths! Paul Stanley of
Kiss, then known as Stanley Eisen, was one of them.

Bob Herbison wrote a great article about this place called "Wonderful
Wonderland" in the July "88 issue of "The Pinball Trader" if you can
dig up an old issue.
