Is this any fun? Have a chance to buy one a couple hours away. I'm not sure it's worth the drive. Anyone ever played it?
Thanks!

Yes. I've fixed a couple of them.
The ball lift auger, upper left is problematic as the gearbox often
fails.
The searchlight motor is NLA too.

Aside from that, it's sort of like a cheesy movie. It grows on you.
The sound is typical of that era Gottlieb. The quotes grow on you, "We
gotta get outta this place", "Let's blow the bridge",...

I like it, but then I like a lot of games from that era.

I liked it. TNT has a video on youtube showing that gameplay IIRC.

The multiball effect is pretty cool, in my opinion. Like Chris says, the quotes grow on you, and I find the attract mode humorous and silly. There are workarounds for the 'no longer available' searchlight motor; I have had to do it myself. I can help with that should you need it. Pinball Resource still has NOS playfields for it.

Dan

Can anyone explain what the "build a bridge" feature is about? I see it mentioned on the flyer but can't really figure out what it means you have to do during gameplay.
Thanks!

I don't see that on the flyer. Front or back?
The phrase doesn't ring a bell with me.

ooopss... I got confused. It was a "blow the bridge feature to create a ramp for multiball mode" and was mentioned in the features on ipdb. thanks.

Now that rings a bell. During gameplay, you have to hit something to
"blow the bridge". The voice call is "Blow the Bridge!". When you hit
the target(s), the "stargate" bridge mech fires several times in
succession to flap the "bridge" ramp flap up and down. It's
campy...but cool.
