Tech Q: WMS Road Show

[Snowman]

Has any owner of a WMS Road Show experienced a short very high ear-blowing
beep right after switching on the machine, before the test sequence? This
beep re-appears when switching off the machine but then in lower volume.

ROM version is L-6.

It's probably the PS filter caps on the DCS board which
has starting to leak a bit.

My Corvette DCS board makes a terrble sound when
I turn the game off. I know it's the filter caps, because
I changed them temporary when I searched for another sound
problem with a Flinstones (also DCS) which now is "silent".. :)

I'd love to hear a response to this post. My
STTNG has done this exact same thing ever since I
bought it. I upgraded to the latest game ROMs and
it made no difference, not that I thought it
would. I would also appreciate any suggestions!
