I restored the light grid on my Pinbot, and I am very happy with the
results. I wasn't so sure about it at first. I broke my own rule and
applied too thick of a first coat of Krylon clear acrylic and it got
milky white over the inserts so I quickly wiped it off, let it dry and
sanded it all off again.

The insert label may be a hair off, but you get only one try at it.

Looks terrific!

Makes such a better appearance.

When I did mine, i didn't clear over the overlay either. I don't know
if that was in my "how-to" I pm'd you or not...

Gorgarspeaks, I did the laminated version of the label figuring this is
just a spot repair of the grid. I thought about clearing it afterward,
but I figured a:) The label edge is very thin and does not seem to
affect the ball. b:) I could screw it up applying clear.

At a certain point I become a leave-well-enough alone guy. Next: on to
the spiral ramp repair!

Mine was laminated too. Classic Arcades..

There is no need to clear over if laminated.

I haven't had any issues with ball hop.

Thank God for these overlays. They do turn out quite nice.
