Call Stern and ask!
Before trying anything else. LTG :)

Here's the response I got...
"Ah...I was told they weren't pressed on hard enough. Try that, and
then call us back if it doesn't work". Ugh.
Who the hell did you email for that response? Is it just me or has
stern been taken over by a bunch of pre school kids? I mean they
barely have anything close to customer service and when you do contact
them you get replies like the above which almost seem like a zombie
from a romero movie, admitting they knew something as simple as
pressing down a glued item hasn't been on and it was allowed to be
shipped by Jacob age 5 head of quality control :-s
Hopefully this isn't widespread. I'm saving all my coin slot rage for
problems like this.

+1. That's exactly the impression I got after talking with Stern's
'experts'.
Like this?

Second one down and out for the count. It looks like not enough
sticky stuff.
Contact cement. Paint a thin layer on both the disk and the platter.
Press together while still wet and pull back apart immediately. Done
properly you will get a bunch of stringy "legs". Let dry for 5 minutes.
Stick the disk back on being careful to center it. Once stuck on it
cannot be easily realigned so make sure it's centered.

I must be on a roll 3rd +1 I've had tonight lol. But in all
seriousness sterns customer service and corporate communications are
possibly some of the worst I have ever experienced and I used to work
in corporate banking for barclays so I've delt with many corporations
and business and none ever came close to stern on their worst day. If
stern want to cost cut, give the entire PR and comms team (especially
the facebook masterminds) the boot out the door!
I'd be pretty hesitant to clean the disc with alcohol, as was
suggested previously. I'm no chemist, but alcohol and weak adhesives
are a bad fit.

Gee, I thought this was supposed to be part of the LE "package"
Spinning discs.. that actually "FLY OFF"
Seriously, while I'm not a Tron fan, the game looks pretty cool, and
I'm sorry to say, I'm not a proud owner, nor am I soon to be one.
I hope Stern takes a more serious approach to fixing this flaw for all
you guys.
Good luck
Vinny
There had to be a real big problems like a dead cpu board or a broken
display or such to call in for service or a replacement.
Besides, if a new pin came in, it had to be on the road asap.
Now there is a home use market, and they demand some kind of quality,
especially because they see their purchase as an expensive
toy instead of the original moneymaker it once(long ago) was.If you
operated pinballs you were used to broken parts and issues all day
long.
But at give times some pins made 600 euro a week, and then you don't
complain too much.
As a mechanic i had a fulltime job with pinballs for 25 years.I was
totally happy with broken pins ;-)
I think it's a different world for Stern now and they slowly adapt
into it.
Chances are that JJP is taking more care of this, since they are
already familiar with the home-use buyer.
The future will tell.
I'm guessing the darker areas are the glue on your disc? Not surprised
they are coming off there's barely more than 6 drops of adhesive on
the underside of your disc rubber, must be more cost cutting, one tube
of glue for all 400 LE pins :-p

Damn rubber from the spinning disk flew right off...less than 30
Set it all up.
Pressed down the disc before my first play just to be safe.

I've talked to Stern tech support on multiple occasions over the past
five years. They have always be very knowledgeable and helpful.
John
I contacted Trent, he was very quick to tell me of the delay of
shipping on the chrome and the coin door info.
I question why a Canadian game got a 2-slot door, Stern hasn't got
back to me.
Well.. I didn't press too hard, but it seemed sturdy enough to me.
I made sure I was thourough and even with the pressure
My outer rubber ring flew off after 1 week. Tried epoxy, lasted a few
days and flew off again.
Used 3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive from the autoparts store and it
hasn't flown off yet.
I'd clean it off, then apply a thin layer of contact cement with a foam
roller to both the disk and the rubber. Follow the directions on letting
the cement flash over, then apply rubber to disk. Use a J roller to press
it down and let the cement cure according to the directions.

...and for 6k, you'd think all that shit would have been done at the
factory.
Stuff happens, but this is some funny (in a sad way) stuff. I
empathize with what you must be feeling after dropping that kind of
coin and having something like this happen.
When the main toy flies apart after only a few plays, I would be less
than impressed. I can't think of another game where this has happened?
I had the same problem. The larger ring came off the second day the
machine was set up. There was virtually no adhesive on it. I used
crazy glue to reattach the rubber. So far so good. I was just glad the
plastic over the disc was easy to remove. Nothing like replacing the
Sandman plastic on Spiderman. That is the only issue I've had with my
Tron so far. I think Stern did a great job on it. The only thing I'm
not crazy about is that the orbit lane is finished in bright yellow.
There is already a dirt line around the orbit and it is difficult to
clean because it is under the ramps. It's not really a problem, I'm
just too fussy.
Mike
Epoxy is too hard. Contact cement is the only proper adhesive for
flexible things like rubber.
Sorry to hear about this guys.
Hopefully Stern fixes this in the later runs, and provides a solution
for you guys now (an "official" solution, not multiple tries at
glues).
Uhm, while on the subject - when i played on location, the disc wasnt
very active - posting here, it was suggested that thing gets dirty /
doesn't work as well. Remind me to ask the group in a few weeks how
the discs are holding up in general. I dont know, its a cool toy in
theory though.
Cliff is dead on with the contact cement. Apply to both surfaces touch
together, pull back and it gets stringy then apply tightly together.
Super glue actually discolors plastic and is not a good solution.
Contact cement is the best choice.

Or 3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape 467MP is an awesome product with high
tack adhesion that would would on the disc/rubber.

Use Goop brand adhesive for this, and just about every other similar
situation. Tim Arnold & I have been using it for years and can't live
without the stuff.

Oh man, that's just rubbing it in your face! It really came off during
Portal MB?! That's just WRONG!
Mine came off and I used Contact Cement, hasn't been a problem since
(about 3 weeks).
