While many will slam or worship, I make my judgements when the
product & service is received & the whole experience reviewed.
So, w/ that said many thanks & praise do go to Chris. We found him
extremely easy to deal w, straight forward, & what was really
appreciated he was plain supportive & friendly. I'm a 4th generation
in a family biz & it's SO refreshing to deal w/ people on this level,
period.
Costing came in right on mark, & for the $ I paid to have the game
skidded - whoa, thank lord he does such a great crating job - our
machine sorta went "missing" for a week sitting on a ship dock
somehwere.... so wrapping in moving blankets, shrinkwrapping, skidding
& then building a framed crate to which the machine was strapped to
eliminated any prying eyes / damage. U can't imagine my relief when I
saw the quality of the crate job after sitting in a warehouse all that
time!
SO to the game. What can I say? Well for starters, no frickin' drama.
Plugged it in, levelled it, & played. & played. & played.
@ this point I was really confused - I'm used to tweaking something,
chasing a switch, replacing a bulb - even w/ NIB games.... sadly
dissapointed there - it was if this game had been set up on my
location & tech'd...... unreal.
Quality of the resto? Well lets just say I'm a perfectionist. When my
old man took delivery of a new exotic car I found quite a few issues
in paint, mechanics, well, everywhere.
O.k., o.k., don't compare cars to pins - so what else can I say? I
guess the only thing I can say is it's 1 thing to expect something
great but to get it & have ur expectations crushed... because it's
even BETTER than what u expected... well that doesn't happen often -
it's like the credit card ad - moments like these are priceless.
Ahhh, a little bit of XMas in May.
So in review, thinking of sending Chris a machine? Don't wait.
Saving for someone to do a resto? Keep saving, don't deviate.
I figured I'd probably end up trying all the restorators, but @ this
level of quality / support I'd really look forward to doing biz w/
Chris again!
