What is a King of Diamonds worth these days?

I found one locally. The owner says it is worth $3,000.00 restored
and I said that sure you can google and find them being offered at
that price but that is fully restored or for the repro. Backglass is
flaking in the reds (suprise), playfield wear above the flippers and
cabinet dings, rototarget numbers are wasted where the ball hit them.
No idea if it works but I don't care if nothing is missing. It's a
good restoration or winter project, never played it but it seems to
get good reviews. I had a Flipper wedgehead I traded for a ball
bowler so you seem to do okay getting your money back out of the 60's
Gottliebs. Just curious what everyone thinks. He wants $400.00 which
seems a little high to me but then again pins are dry with the loss of
all the auctions in Ohio.

I have one with a nice bg & playfield, the cab is average with
touchups by previous owner and I was offered 1200 for it a couple
years ago. I'm sure someone will chime in who has a current Mr.P price
guide. My 2007 guide has it at 1150

Run, don't walk to pick it up for $400. That is a steal as others have
already told you. Typically, one would expect to pay at least $800 for an
"average" condition game and then still be willing to pay for shipping (And
all the upgrades you have pointed out). IF you can get it locally for that
price, you are a very lucky pinhead.

I don't think 400 seems out of line for the game you described.

As usual...I'd like to see someone actually DO all the work to get a
game "fully restored" then GET 3K for it. We certainly hear alot of
people say that though... :o) But at least this guy's asking price
isn't crazy...that usually goes with the 3K story...

wedeghead EM pinball machine.It's a good deal for sure.It's one of the

St. Louis, LMK. I'll take it.

I sold mine less than a year ago for $800. I found it to be a slow playing,
overrated, very, very boring game. I was glad to see it go. Buyer was happy.
