It won't sell for $4000 and they'll realize they made a mistake.

And the world turns.

I just hit the "Ask the Seller a Question" Button and asked this -
Would you sell it for $2500 and end the auction?

Notice I didn't actually say I would buy it. I just asked a
question....... ;-)

There's one on mr. pinball for $450.00. Somebody should tell him he
about $3000,00 to cheap. LOL

The one on Pawn Stars was "worth" $5K. So how does this chump figure
$3999 is "several thousand dollars" less?

And he didn't pay very good attention, the "unrestored" one was
"bought" for $1K. The $3K shop job was the expensive part!

That's such a good question, I think I'll ask it, even though it's already

GOT MY ANSWER-
Sorry, the seller will not. Also, I just found out they got the band
fixed and it is now working perfectly, so there is nothing wrong with
this machine other than needing the rubber bumpers replaced.

Why do I have a feeling after they run the auction say 6x - each time
dropping the starting price by $500 they will then contact me and ask
if I want to buy it for $2500.....

The flippers aren't aligned and one is missing rubber. They also look
possibly stuck in the up position.

I just asked the seller this question: "How would I know for sure that
this pinball machine is not a re-import? That is, made in USA for
export to Europe, and then reimported to USA. There's usually a $2,000
difference in value between ones made for USA and ones made for
export."

They better tack an extra thow onto the price, that's the exact same
thing the Pawn Stars restorer did to his machine. Replaced the
'band', yeah, that's the ticket.

I better let the seller know that I'm troubled by the gambling theme,
which is compounded by the lewd nature of pinballs in general. I think
they are illegal in most states and am surprised Ebay hasn't removed
the listing. Since I'm about 1 1/2 hours from seller's location, I
could probably pick it up and "dispose" of it properly. I'll just do
it for gas money. Glad to do my civic duty!

Dear sellingitmadesimpleauctions,

I really want this super rare game that I saw featured on TV's pawn
stars. Me and the wife have been hit very hard with the recession, but
we have about $3500 left and this is certainly a better investment for
growth than giving $$ to those Wall Street crooks. Would you end the
auction now and sell it for $3500? Can pay cash on delivery.

Everyone should ask him silly questions. Mine was,

"Is it true this machine was designed by P.T. Barnum? That's what I
heard on TV. It must be extremely valuable!"

The objective is to get him to publish the questions without knowing
he's being made fun of.

This is almost as good as the Nigerian scheme. I hope someone buys
it. Then we can contact the buyer and offer even more money. Pretty
soon all our machines will be worth millions, perhaps billions and we
can each have our own private Pacific island. I'm hoping for
someplace around Micronesia.

Maybe the seller is regaining his sense of humor .... he replied to my
question about whether it was a re-import:

"This machine was originally exported to Zimbabwe where it was part of
the 1985 revolution and played an integral part in the overthrow of
the dictator regime. Once the machine itself was removed from
government, it was exiled to Chile where it sought refuge until 2005
and was re-imported back to the US to live out its days in our
beautiful country. Seriously, thats the best you can do?"

Let's not forget, the ebay seller's motives (not the actual owner of
the pinball machine) are driven by commission and listing fees, not by
whether or not it sells. Sort of like those home appraisers and loan
company people who never bothered to tell the clients that it did not
appear that the ARM loan was sustainable. Not that it was their job
but the point is that their motives are DIFFERENT from those who took
the loans (or own the pinball machine). They are in it for the
commissions...

What a bunch of babies. If they act as the seller's agent and take a
cut of the profits for that then they take the heat that goes along
with it. They knew they were representing a seller with an outrageous
price and flak was assured. They could have turned it down. But
they, like the seller, are hoping some "greater fool" buys it based on
the hot air from the tv show.
