I just took a trip to Connecticut. The following Airports have no
pinballs (or coin operated amusements...not even a Megatouch):

Orlando
Charlotte
Hartford
Philidelphia

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, I just don't want people getting
their hopes up for nothing like I did. :(

If I missed a pin at any of these airports let me know!

A few years ago, Boise, Idahos airport was a pinball mecca: seemed
like machines everywhere. Hope that hasn't changed.

I flew through the Boise Airport in February 2009 and Concourse B had
a small arcade located about halfway down on the left.
I vaguely remember there were 4 or 5 pinball machines. SM and TSPP
come to my memory, but I can't recall the others. The machine i
played was in good condition.

The first time I played FH was in the Orlando airport. It was pretty beat
up, but fun.

The first time I played an EBD was in the twin cities airport. Almost
missed my plane.

Airports and bowling alleys used to be the best place to play.

I grew up in the Philly area. I used to go to the airport with my Mom to
drop off and pick up my Father from business trips. I played quite a few
pins there. The era ends in a whimper.

Interesting.... I've never seen a pinball machine in an airport, let
alone video games. It would sure make long layovers more enjoyable.

I remember when MSP was known as a great place to play pinball. And this was
for many years long before 9/11 when you could just go out there and get
into all areas.

Now since the games left are usually in secured areas, the take is probably
way down. Sad days for games in airports. LTG :)

Minneapolis/St. Paul airport has two Northern Lights arcades. Both
with 3-5 Sterns.

Kurt,

if you're in Orlando you should join and participate in our Pinball
and arcade collecting forums:

We'd love to have you, and believe me, we'll find you PLENTY of pins
to play in the area! :)

Related to the post, I played a nice POTC in the snack bar area in
Akron/Canton airport in Ohio, I was happy to have found it to kill 1/2
hour or so or waiting to board a plane.

There are pins spread all over that airport. Some in baggage claim
and in each concourse. A mix of old and new. I always look forward to
a Boise trip for that reason.

Grand Rapids, MI still has a great game room. There is usually one
newer pinball...Family Guy, Spiderman, etc...

When I was last there, it seemed like they had just shopped one of the
arcades, as the WOF, IJ4 and something else I forget there worked
wonderfully. Of course, my layover was near the other arcade that had
the huge Stern line up, but it was all in really rough shape (LOTR,
SM, Sopranos, TSPP all come to mine).

I imagine that these machines get a lot of use. There were three
people playing the crappy games in the arcade I was in while I was
there other than me. We were basically all bouncing between machines,
trying to figure out what worked. It felt like the mid-90s.

I was through the Grand Rapids airport a few weeks ago and they had a
CSI, didn't have time to play it though.

Sounds like they got rid of the NASCAR. It was in pretty rough shape
for a few years now.
